So far, HOUSE republicans have introduced

44 bills on abortion

99 on religion

71 on family relationships

36 on marriage

67 on firearms/gun control

522 on tax breaks for the wealthy

445 on ‘government investigations'

2 Raping a woman is now sometimes OK…

3 Voting against equal pay.


lol, yeah, jobs jobs jobs is what they campaigned on. Independents pay more attention to what's happening and get their news from a varity of sources. Not good for republicans.

Perhaps you didn't catch the title of this thread. Romney will gain support but this election is over. He could save the world a lot of trouble by conceeding today.

Oh i caught it just fine and I think you missed the point. What I see is someone who supported someone other than Romney and is struggling to come to terms with Romney as the nominee. Right now that's going to be very common. There will be a lot of Santorum supporters today that are pissed and depressed and right now many of them are saying to themselves in anger: "fuck it...I am going to vote for Obama or not vote at all".

Right now they probably feel that way....but how long do you think that is going to last? In a couple months things will have settled down and, with very few exceptions, all these people who supported candidates other than Romney will get behind him and then you will see the polls begin to change in Romney's favor.

Now it may not be enough. Obama may win....but this is far from over and anyone who thinks that polls in April mean that the game is over has a tumor for a brain.

Okay...when will the polls matter to you? November at the earliest?

I'm so frustrated that Romney is going to be the nominee that I will just vote Johnson, even though that'll be good for Obama. Why let Romney take this country down and the republican party with him? Stupid liberals will only learn when they have no defense for the failures of their ideology and maybe that's what we will have to let happen. Romney is a RINO, and I am finding it difficult to even consider voting for him. Hate to sound defeatist but that's how I feel.

If Romney is behind in the polls in late September I will start to get concerned.

That brings up a good point, mudwhistle. Somehow, people have gotten the idea that a President should only be required to make good speeches and look nice. As a consequence, we have people who have no intention of leading anyone anywhere running for office.

Romney is a soft-spoken man when he's not on the campaign trail, but he is one of the few politicians out there who can reunite the nation that's being split down the middle with refusal to do the administration's job of placing a viable budget suggestion to a Congress he befriends, which is also being withheld for selfish and self-aggrandizing purposes of getting rid of rival ideas to community ideology perpetration over individualism that was encouraged by the founders.

Community organization has become community agitation in the past 3 years. It's time to throw in the towel on that kind of government fail.

And FYI, the time period before the election is important. Historically, since they've been recording approval ratings no president has been re-elected when his approval rate wasn't above 50% Eight Months Before The Election.

He's trying to get above 50%, because he knows it's essential. It gives him some breathing room later on when the polls start to tighten. It was just over 8 months before the election when Obama started the Sandra Flucke scandal and the imaginary "War On Women". That's when he began attempting to reverse the trend which was widely reported that Obama was losing women voters in droves.
