Sessions back to the Senate???

If the swamp refuses to seat Roy Moore than the Governor of Alabama can appoint a temporary senator. That senator would most likely be Sessions. If Sessions excepts and leaves the DOJ Trump can pick a new AG...one that will put a stop to Russia/Trump and send Mueller packing...

Perspective | How the Roy Moore scandal could help President Trump fire Robert Mueller

The Senate cannot refuse to seat him. Powell v. McCormack decided by USSC.

They can't refuse to seat him. They can, on the other hand, seat him, and then immeditely expel him.

Sessions is unlikely to want to go back to the Senate, though. Were that to happen, the governor of Alabama would appoint someone to the Senate temporarily, pending a special election.

How that work end up, though, is unclear.
That's right Doc they will have to expel him if he refuses to step down himself. Sessions would go back to the Senate if Trump makes it clear to him that his time at the DOJ will be short...

It's not as simple as "going back". He'd have to resign from the DoJ, then the governor would have to appoint him to the seat.

As for Trump bullying him into doing it, that's very unlikely to happen.

Why wouldn't Strange just return to the Senate since the governor had already appointed him once?

The governor would have to appoint him again.

If Strange would even do it.

Moore will be forced out after he wins, and Strange will be back in the Senate, yes.

All Trump has to say is we are going to select his replacement and get your desk in order. It happens all of the time bullying has nothing to do with it that's silly.

It has everything to do with bullying, and it most certainly doesn't happen all the time.

Sessions knows he isn't able to do his job because of his recusal and he knows the Mueller investigation will continue throughout the president full term. He has to not want that. If Trump asks him to go back to the Senate he will go.

Republicans sure are interested in different ways to stop Mueller. It's on their mind really heavily almost like it concerns them. But they'e said it' nothing burger...why be so worried about nothing...

...unless....

The absolute loudest death knell for Trump......is to fire Mueller.......

I would actually love to see that happen to expedite Trump's impeachment.

What if evidence comes forward that Mueller was involved in the Uranium One fiasco?

What if evidence comes forward that it was really....Aliens?

Rumor has it that the FBI knew all about it and did nothing. We will see when the "secret witness" testifies before Congress.

The people would riot and toss the Governor out if he did that. The only replacement that the people of Alabama will except over Moore is Sessions and everyone knows it.

trump CULT members don't like republicans either....Actually, they don't like too many people except......maybe.....Sean Hannity and Alex Jones?

It's a witch hunt and a purposeful distraction for our...(mine and your) executive branch of government and it's gone on without a hearing for way too long. Time to put up or shut up...the house ended their investigation and so should Mueller.

How many damn times does that Uranium One story have to be debunked before you morons get your heads out of your asses???

Go back to Benghazi and Whitewater.......you'd stand a better chance and keep you off the streets for a while.

No, Sessions would not go back to the Senate, according to reports.

They are not likely to expel him either. He hasn't violated Senate rules nor is he facing criminal charges.

When will you libs stop shooting off your mouth and research your answers before making complete assholes of yourself. I would say morons but you pass that on a daily basis.

It's been done before.
