Setting the record straight, regarding Cohen and Hannity

One additional issue.....

Cohen's attorneys were making a claim that the records seized from Cohen should fall under "attorney-client" privileges......

If Hannity vehemently claims that he was not Cohen's client, then ANY documentation between Cohen and Hannity does NOT fall under that privilege.

You CANNOT have it both ways.

Hannity is lying like the lil bitch he is -

What did he lie about?

Seriously? He claims there were no documents, no contracts, no money exchanged. The hearing was ALL ABOUT DOCUMENTS and Cohen's team spent several days attempting to protect his identity because THEY KNOW THERE ARE DOCUMENTS.

Hannity is a lying punk

Oh, so, you were at the hearing? Anyway, what on Earth does this have to do with possible Russian meddling in the election?

Moron...........Mueller handed over the Cohen investigation to the DOJ AND NYC federal attorneys...Why the fuck do you bring the above up?

Now, if any of those documents confirm that Cohen DID go to Prague, then the shit will really hit the fan.....Stay tuned.

How can any of these posters set any record straight when all they can do is parrot 3rd and 4th hand "news"?

It's kind of the law...You know regular folks watch law dramas and this comes up...

Actually in UK and Ireland the regular population know more about US law than there own country...
Sure they do. I knew a lot of guys at my last job that "knew the law".

Appearing as the defendants in cases doesn't qualify as "knew the law"....
How so?

The fun part will also be if FOX decides to fire Hannity's sorry ass......Trump cultists will have a royal fit.

Wow, I didn't realize visiting the Czech Republic was a criminal matter!

Looka, the prior administration, law enforcement, etc. all knew about Russian hacks etc. prior to the 2016 election. Nary a peep. And I guarantee that had Hillary won, we wouldn't be talking about this shit today.

This is a concerted effort to overthrow a duly elected POTUS, nothing more... and here we sit talking about porn-starts, talk-show hosts, real estate lawyers, Access Hollywood tapes, etc. It is theatre of the absurd.

There's a few issues that need to be clarified on this forum regarding the "relationship" between Cohen and Hannity:

1. It was Cohen (no one else) who labeled Sean Hannity a CLIENT

2. Attorney-client privilege does NOT include the divulging of a client's name (as circuit courts have determined.) .......so, the claim that Hannity's name as a "client" should not be known, is invalid.

3. The exchange of money between an attorney and an individual is NOT a requisite to determine that the individual is a client.......For example, pro bono cases do not require payments.....

But, much more damaging to the Cohen-Hannity relationship COULD BE the exchange of legal advice (by Cohen) for the "payment" (by Hannity) in providing good press for Trump on his TV/Radio shows. This would certainly be very hard to prove, but I point it out solely because the relationship between these 2 men should have been openly disclosed much earlier.

Here you go...setting the record straight...Hugh Hewitt is a practicing attorney...

MSNBC's Hugh Hewitt: "It is possible" that Sean Hannity "did not know he was a client of Michael Cohen"

HUGH HEWITT (MSNBC POLITICAL ANALYST): I want to point out that it is possible -- not likely, but possible -- that Sean did not know that he was a client of Michael Cohen. If Michael Cohen gives advice --

STEPHANIE RUHLE (HOST): If he didn't know that he was a client of Michael Cohen, why would Michael Cohen have him listed?

HEWITT: Because if Michael Cohen -- and I don't know Michael Cohen. I do know Sean. I know Elliott Broidy from Los Angeles circles. I know the president, but I don't know Michael Cohen.

If Michael Cohen goes back to his office and makes a memorandum of conversation with Sean Hannity with the expectation of confidence, it's covered by the [attorney-client] privilege. It just is. And Sean may not know about that. I just wanted to point out it's possible for them both to be telling the truth.

Frank's problem is that I can handle ten of him, while ten of him can't handle one of me, Nat.

It is hilarious, looking at my posting numbers, to think I have time for a sock and a full writing career.
Hiding in plain sight.

Privilege belongs to the client, an informal conversation does not a client make. Hannity is not claiming a privileged relationship, end of story.
