Should US oil cpompanies who sell their oil outside of the US lose their subsidies?

It's kind lengthy and complicated, but the bottom line is oil subsides are nothing but tax breaks.

Just like any other business they get deductions and credits for certain things.

"Oil Subsidies" is nothing but a catch phrase to attempt to demonize the industry.

If you want to see a defeated, poverty stricken US just do away with our fissile fuels industry.

Dems LIE, I summarized.

The problem during the Bush administration was that the ppb was too low. No one was investing in rigs, exploration or drilling. When the price of oil goes up everybody drills for oil.
Fracking didn't exist during the Bush administration. Also, Bush was not a big believer in deregulation.

Fracking began in 1865.

It was fracking that created the massive boom in gas production of the early two thousands in N. Texas.

They have been fracking in the middle east since the 1960s. Remember Bush's spectacular failure in Qatar? He wasn't an oil man.

It existed but was a bit antiquated. At the beginning of DumBama's second term they started using more horizontal drilling which allowed us to manufacture more fuel at a faster rate. They used to drill straight down, and when they sucked everything they could get out of the well, moved the platform to another location. When they perfected horizontal drilling, they were able to drill down then sideways so they didn't have to move the platform nearly as much. They gave DumBama credit for the lowering of fuel prices (surprise, surprise) but he was always against fracking in the first place.

Horizontal or directional drilling has been in use for over 60 years.

Yes but it was not really perfected until the end of DumBama's first term. It was experimental up to that point. Once they got it down to a science, we were able to produce more in less time. That's why the prices went down so much.

In Arabia they do directional drilling in real time 350 miles away for the past 20 years. It's not been experimental for 60 years.

In Arabia they can drill from computers in Dhahran ... Directional drilling in Shayba in the Empty Quarter.
So you're talking about remote operations, not drilling 350 miles.

Have they eliminated the need for rig workers?

Nope. Pretty clean and sophisticated.. they have used gas injection since 1950. They don't 'pump' oil. They use Christmas trees not Jack pumps.
