Should We Amend the Constitution to Make Supreme Court Justice Elected Every Four Years?

The people voted for their state reps. If that changed then yes the senator gets recalled. It’s what the states citizens wanted.
And those reps were partisan

They made back room deals to appoint Senators

Today, Senators represent We the People

No, they’re just in a different room and no longer have to pay attention to you. Other than every six years they have to sell you on whatever you’re gullible enough to believe.

With the inevitable appointment of the POS Ketanji Brown Jackson should we fix this problem. She obviously has no place being a Supreme Court Justice, let alone a Supreme Court Justice for life. None of them deserve it for life. They aren't non-partisan. They should be held accountable to Americans.
No, because you asswipes can't be trusted to not elect a bunch of Trump clones to the SCOTUS.

Nor can you morons not be trusted to elect more Ketanji Brown Jackson types. Much worse by the way. Not even close. Trumps appointees are practically liberals.

The Constitution defines a six year term

It didn’t do that at all. Until the politicians were able to convince enough idiots the founders were wrong. Turns out they were right and it shouldn’t have been fucked with.
The Constitution has always defined a six year term for Senators and two year term for Congressmen

Absolutely not. If you think the court is too politicized now which it is, that would make it a completely politicized body with no pretext of judicial neutrality and temperament.

It exists not to be used to make or change policy, only to see that The Constitution is protected and that our gov't doesn't get away with violating it.

If anything it needs to somehow even be more insulated from day to day and party political influencing.

All those things you are afraid it will become is what it already is

No, it's already too politicized, electing judges ever four or six years would make it even more goverened by the interests of the parties with no respect for the Original Intent and Meaning.

It would essentially become a third branch of congress.

Politicizing the SCOTUS would be a terrible mistake, and there is a good reason why they have lifetime appointments and are not beholden to election cycles.

Now, should they have a required retirement age of 85? Yes.

I'd say 80 but other than that I agree.

No---

We should have higher standards for judges which she does not posse. Our problem is corrupt politicans that need to be removed first before any new rules.
"posse"? How would you (or GOP Senators) know what standards Judge Jackson possesses? Didn't even bother to show up on the last day of her hearing.

There’s not an “even more” situation. This is what it is now

By looking at her rulings from the bench rather than simply letting her say whatever comes to mind and having to accept that.

No, they now represent party interests instead of protecting the interests of the states as intended.
They are answerable to We the People
Those who fail are not re-elected

That is not the case with partisan appointed Senators
