The Washington post has three more witnesses, one a Libyan reporter, another the deputy Libyan interior minister and the third a friend of Stevens who spent Monday and Tuesday with him and dropped him off at the embassy on Tuesday while the protest was going on.

Why can't the Right accept eye witness testimony instead of the conjecture of anyone who was not there???

I thought Susan Rice and others said it was a spontaneous attack due to a protest of the video.

Abu Khatallah, the suspect captured by U.S. special forces on Tuesday for his role in the 2012 Benghazi attack, reportedly said he was motivated in part by the anti-Islam online video made in America, according to the New York Times.

"What he did in the period just before the attack has remained unclear. But Mr. Abu Khattala told other Libyans in private conversations during the night of the attack that he was moved to attack the diplomatic mission to take revenge for an insult to Islam in an American-made online video," Times reporter David Kirkpatrick wrote in a story on Khattala on Tuesday.

Immediately following the attack, Khattala declined to say whether the video had anything to do with his role in the Benghazi attack, according to the Times.

Update: Remember when the New York Times did that exhaustive breakdown of the Benghazi tragedy a few months back and also said it was the video? Right away Senators McCain and Graham led the charge against it, claiming it was just hack journalism. Yet here we are with the confirmation right out of the mouth of the suspect.
