The appointment of the Special Counsel is totally UNCONSTITUTIONAL! Despite that, we play the game because I, unlike the Democrats, have done nothing wrong!

The appointment of a special prosecutor requires a crime...not maybe a crime or we want to look for a crime there must be a law that has been broken...in this case there was not...only assumptions....

um, no. trump STILL has the presumption of innocence until proven guilty. mueller is a prosecutor.

he's counsel.

he's NOT a judge nor a jury. that happens when a crime(s) have been believed to have been committed- but mueller has no power to sentence anybody.

What was/is the crime they are investigating? Or are they looking for a crime? Two very different questions that need to be answered before this goes any further...

Remember collusion is not a crime and the president can not obstruct justice by firing Comey...he has every right to do so...

What's the crime that deserved the Special Counsel?

Multiple persons involved with a US election associating with documented hostile foreign entities in direct relation to a US election including the appointed AG who had to recuse himself.... should cover it.

collusion isn't a crime. but conspiracy is. the special council is gathering intel. & so far, has guilty pleas for lesser crimes ( that was negotiated in regards to cooperating witness' ) & don't forget mueller has flipped flynn & george nader. papadopolous is cooperating... cohen's partner is cooperating, & manafort is in deep doo-doo unless he decided to make like a pancake.

No crime in collusion. And Sessions was a fool to recuse himself.

but there's plenty of crime in conspiring against the united states.... which would be part of the investigation.

jeffery beauregard sessions III had no choice but to recuse himself given the fact that he LIED on his security forms about consorting with the roooskies during the campaign.

oopsie!

Trump is as ignorant as he is stupid.

The Supreme Court has never ruled on the constitutionality of the special counsel statute.

Acts of Congress are presumed to be Constitutional until the Supreme Court rules otherwise.

At least Trump is consistent at being wrong.

Total bullshit on Sessions. He met with the Ambassador at social gatherings and once as a Senator.

One social gathering was Kerry inviting the Russian Ambassador along with freaking 80 others to hear Sessions give a speech.

That's not consorting.

:lmao:

Problem with Sessions is that he is part of that over honorable pack who have been in the Senate so long they believe they are sons of Rome.

Rosenstein is being asked to recuse himself. And there are grounds for that. Did you catch the letter to the Deputy AG from Graham?

Ruh roh!

Bogus. Sessions shot down George big time and with witnesses. Right in your article.

As to Rosenstein. He has to recuse himself if he is to be a witness in a possible Obstruction of Justice charge.

Why? Because Rosenstein wrote a letter recommending the firing of Comey.

Double ruh roh.

Even if that happened, it's not against the law. Listening to someone run a proposition by you isn't a crime, no matter who they are. Russia isn't our enemy. The AG didn't actually have to recuse himself.

Once against the snowflake can't name an actual crime being investigated.

No he didn't. The security forms don't ask you if you have ever talked to a foreigner. They ask you if you have a continuing relationship with any foreigners.

Once again, you don't know what the fuck you're tallking about.

No one has been accused of "conspiring against the United States," dumbass.

But conspire to do what?....have pizza for lunch? there must be a crime to investigate a president and we still do not know what that is....you and the left don't care if there was a crime or a law broken you just are happy to see the investigation go on and on and on...but in the end if there was no crime committed we have a 17 million dollar and counting witch hunt on our hands....

The bottom line is that all they got is some Republicans talked to some Russians. That's all they ever come up with.

conspire to defraud the united states.

[...]

Hass, 216 U.S. at 479-480. In Hammerschmidt, Chief Justice Taft, defined "defraud" as follows: To conspire to defraud the United States means primarily to cheat the Government out of property or money, but it also means to interfere with or obstruct one of its lawful governmental functions by deceit, craft or trickery, or at least by means that are dishonest. It is not necessary that the Government shall be subjected to property or pecuniary loss by the fraud, but only that its legitimate official action and purpose shall be defeated by misrepresentation, chicane or the overreaching of those charged with carrying out the governmental intention.

BTW- that is only one of several charges that paul manafort is going away for...
