Yes, I know (& hate) the fact that Democrats are all about using the US military as a bizarre social experiment, because they keep proving their contempt for American soldiers ad nauseum - Typhoid Barry wanted the military to pay for all transgender surgeries and hormone therapies, costing a pretty penny. But it's still hopeful that the military produces ballsy young men of honor like these young Americans, despite these liberal-inflicted problems. We do tend to look at groups of people as heroes, but no one is a hero all the time, and we're all human. Maybe heroism isn't a full-time gig but more situational, from the soldier or cop who put their life on the line to save the innocent in a dangerous situation to some guy at a bowling alley who just stands up to an asshole to protect someone else.

Maybe we over-use and dilute the term, as we do so many others. Seems to me "hero" is one of those words that should actually mean something. For a change.

My heroes would include the people listed below:

• The guy who risks his own life to save someone who passed out and fell onto the subway tracks. Incredible. The passerby who stops and helps a lone cop who's having a massive struggle controlling a strong scumbag who just committed a crime.

• The Founders of this great nation who put all their shit on the line and left us all of the opportunities and freedoms we still enjoy. And the other brave souls who supported them and fought to bring this about.

It was all working pretty damned well until anti-American scum changed our immigration laws by passing The Immigration and Nationality Act of 1965. Those changes have fundamentally changed our country for the worse by allowing people from radically different cultures and NO fucking idea of what it means to be an American to lilterally flood our country. If we're able to find a way to turn this fucking mess around, we'll all be American heroes to those who follow us. If we can't turn it around, this great nation will be lost, imo.
