Too funny. I was taught by nuns in elementary school, when corporal punishment was the norm and success was a matter of survival. Franciscans through high school, Jesuits in college. I got an education, and I've got the scars to prove it.

My kids get a quality lesson and are extremely knowledgeable of the political process, institutions of government, and the judicial system by the time they are done in my class. They tell me every year that they learn more in my class than in any other class.
