Stacey Abrams — We don’t know when pregnancy starts

But since I don't have a uterus I'll go with the Bill Burr school of thought:

She's saying it should not have an arbitrary cut off that prevents or curbs doctors decisions on what is best medically for their patient, in different late term complications in the woman's pregnancy. Let the doctor and woman determine what is best for her, and whether they can save her baby, or not be able to....

Women are not running around 6 months in to pregnancy begging to abort their child....well, maybe 1 in a million might be, but the doctor should say no, to that.

Most all late 2nd term and 3rd term abortions are for dire medical conditions of the mother or of the child to be!

Women can and already have died from these new draconian strict abortion laws whose pregnancies have failed and they are denied by the doctor the D&C they needed to clean her remnants inside, so not to get a serious sepsis infection, because the procedure can be used to perform an abortion....and the doctors fear indictments.

It's just crazy.

There has to be a better way for a compromise, where there is a cut off for elective abortions without fear of treating these pregnancy problems with mothers who wanted their baby to be, be born, but lost them via natural causes or lost the possibility of their baby ever being viable....to get the treatment they need without any hesitation, that can lead to harm.

LOL....Since I doubt she's ever been laid I'll give her a mulligan. :laughing0301:

You don't know crap, she is right.

You’re a deranged ignorant lunatic, as is she.

Signs of pregnancy - when we can determine with human perception and technological instruments - have nothing to do with when pregnancy actually begins. That is known. That is not a “fallacy.” That claim is insane.

Stacey Abrams — We don’t know when pregnancy starts

If Stacy wants women to be able to control their bodies and their futures, they might try starting by controlling their legs to keep them closed or start using some birth control.

BTW, even though blacks are only 13% of the population, they account for nearly 40% of all abortions! And since blacks and young college girls all mostly vote democrat anyway, I don't think this issue is going to have the impact at the midterms that democrats are hoping it will!

Pregnancy does not begin at conception, that is a fact. It begins when the fertilized egg, properly attached to the woman's uterus. You can't determine viability of a foetus, a doctor can...

It is estimated that as many as 40% of all conceptions, end in a spontaneous miscarriage.

Miscarriage Statistics

Sadly, miscarriages are a very common occurrence. Sources vary, but many estimate that approximately 1 in 4 pregnancies end in miscarriage; and some estimates are as high as 1 in 3. If you include loss that occurs before a positive pregnancy test, some estimate that 40% of all conceptions result in loss.
Although statistics can vary slightly from one source to the next, here is a general account (based primarily on information provided by the March of Dimes) of the frequency of miscarriages in the United States:
  • There are about 4.4 million confirmed pregnancies in the U.S. every year.
  • 900,000 to 1 million of those end in pregnancy losses EVERY year.
  • More than 500,000 pregnancies each year end in miscarriage (occurring during the first 20 weeks).
  • Approximately 26,000 end in stillbirth (considered stillbirth after 20 weeks)
  • Approximately 19,000 end in infant death during the first month.
  • Approximately 39,000 end in infant death during the first year.
  • Approximately 1 in 4 pregnancies end in miscarriage; some estimates are as high as 1 in 3. If you include loss that occurs before a positive pregnancy test, some estimate that 40% of all conceptions result in loss.
  • Approximately 75% of all miscarriages occur in the first trimester.
  • An estimated 80% of all miscarriages are single miscarriages. The vast majority of women suffering one miscarriage can expect to have a normal pregnancy next time

A) You’re still calling human beings in the blastocyst stage of life “eggs.” You have already been corrected on this insipidly stupid mistake, and I will assume it is willful ignorance and malicious hatemongering if you continue to do so.

B) if you scroll up, you will note that I said exactly this, that our lifespan begins at fertilization and pregnancy begins at implantation, as a matter of technical and precise objective scientific fact.

Miscarriage is not relevant. Any living thing can die.
