Stop Calling Leftists ‘Liberals’

They're either supporters of social-democracy(our mixed economy!) or they're socialist(people that want government to do it all). The first one is a good thing!!!! You see it isn't all pure this or pure that.

Only a bunch of freaks would think what you people do.

It starts talking about a Bill O'Reilly of FoxNews comment and, in effect, puts the record straight. Here's an excerpt:

Classically, liberalism stands for economic freedom, freedom of expression, civil rights of individuals, and limited government under the rule of law. In fact, in much of the world outside of the U.S., in Europe and Australia and even Canada, it still means that, and is considered “right wing.” But there is nothing “liberal” about the modern American left, or the Democrats’ leadership or base, and there hasn’t been for decades.

I am definitely going to change my definition of liberalism and make darned sure I don't get it mixed up with the Left's socialism and “progressive” outlook.

Indeed. I am liberal in the classical definition, but to say so thoroughly confuses the uninformed.
Classical? Like my hair was once blonde but now it's grey? Can I claim my hair color is classical blonde?

Conservatives' hostility toward immigrants, same-sex couples marrying, and transgender Americans are but a few examples of the right's unwarranted fear of change, diversity and expressions of individual liberty.

Are you one of the "confused uninformed"?

My analogy was fairly simple to follow.

Classical Liberalism no longer exists

No you're a corporatist that favors the top 1% over the rest of the country...The concept of small govvernment without this reality died out about the time of the founders...Hell, even in that time kings ruled, so small government is nothing like you think. Just that the concept was for the people to have the power to control their own futures...

Never was such meant to give all the wealth to a new nobility or to defund our infrastructure!!!! People of course want infrastructure, police and clean air, water, a food, etc. As these things are simply common sense in any civilization. The core of the concept is the people are doing it!

Hostility towards illegal alien invasions, forced acceptance of (to some) abhorrent sexual practices and the elevation of mental illness to Hollywood stardom is a rather normal reaction among humans.

What you see as change others view as an attack on civilization.

there is no such thing as "free shit". even shit isnt free.
you have to buy something to eat to create shit, then someone has to pay to treat it and dispose of it.

True!!! SO how about we call them investments? Educating our population = investment that makes more economic wealth...Building bridges and paving roads = investment in economic wealth...Funding science and r&d = investment in economic wealth!!! Something no one else has and could possibly want.

Understand this? Some billionaire invest in a project or it doesn't get off the ground...Well, in our mixed economy the government with tax payer dollars does the same to make bigger projects like your road get paved.
