Strategist: Democrat Party in Decline

Michelle Malkin is a vile far-right US political pundit. She's a proponent of torture, and demonizes liberals at almost every opportunity, often for no particular reason. Being a woman, she's usually the go-to alternative to Ann Coulter. Being Asian, (i.e., not white), she's often used to shield American conservative punditry from accusations of racism (regardless of the fact that Malkin's a flaming racist herself). Her rhetoric is so bad that Andrew Sullivan made up the "Michelle Malkin" award for the most intemperate, hateful remarks of the year. (Both she and Coulter are ineligible for the award, to give others a chance at winning.

Michelle follows the typical nationalist views on immigration; lock 'em up or kick 'em out. She is associated with the nativist website VDARE, who must be thrilled to have an actual minority on hand. She has a particular obsession with "anchor babies," children born to immigrants in the United States. She is adamant that the laws that allow foreign parents of American-born children to gain citizenship should be changed immediately. Interestingly enough, Malkin's own parents were immigrants (On Student visas) from the Philippines. In other words, Michelle Malkin is an anchor baby. Irony meter full.
This user finds it odd that she hasn't put herself immediately at the front of the deportation line, but this user isn't really surprised at her hypocrisy. :eusa_whistle:

Michelle Malkin - RationalWiki

Anchor baby? She was born in Philadephia, so she is a genuine American.

Here is an account of Michelle Malkin, that was not written and quoted by idiots who are filled with psychotic irrational hatred of those with whom they disagree, politically.

Thats what an anchor baby is

Malkin was born in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania, to Philippine citizens Rafaela (née Perez) – a homemaker and teacher – and Apolo DeCastro Maglalang, who was then a physician-in-training.[1] Several months prior to Malkin's birth, her parents had immigrated to the United States on an employer-sponsored visa

Of course you have to ignore the fact that "anchor baby" refers to babies born to ILLEGAL IMMIGRANTS. Then again ignoring reality is how bed wetters like you function.

HAve you seen liberals? Unless you're a faglover and a socialist, you're not welcome

You forgot anti-Christian, with preference to athiests but special sucking up to leftwing muslims.

You also have to absolutely support abortion, all forms of sexual deviance, total civil disarmament, and "environmental" regulations that can cripple any industry or business that becomes a target of the state.

You must oppose private property for all those who aren't party bosses, and demand the military be gelded.

Intolerance vill not be tolerated.

Dissent is not an option...

If it weren't for GOP gerrymandering, Democrats would have a permanent majority in the House of Representatives.

True, but they very well can lose the senate too.

The funny thing is that imo the gop could recapture a natl maj and the youth vote by actually going back to Reaganism (neoliberalism) and getting off the social wedge issues of "anchor babies" gays singlewomenhavingsexhappily socsecleaches etc

Yeah, you're probably right. And i think it really comes down to taxes and the top .1%, who weren't really Reagan's concern. Romney actually characterized as "takers" people who worked for 50 years and get soc sec and medicare. The dems really don't disagree with the fact that we need to hold down increases, esp to medicare, of money per beneficiary, though even I am leery about how much we plan on increasing copays and limiting colas. But any consideration of a tax that wouldn't really be burndensome or hurt econ activity, like limiting mortgage interest deductions to a 500K mortgage, is akin to KENYAN MAXIST SOCIALISM.

In a nutshell, the gop forces itself to get into fights pitting one segment of society against the rest.

Sometimes events occur, as they say, 'when you least expect it....."
That is the truth that Democrat analyst Doug Sosnik speaks to his party....

Democratic strategist: Party 'in decline'

1. “Since Obama was elected President, the Democrats have lost nine governorships, 56 members of the House and two Senate seats,” Doug Sosnik, the political director in Bill Clinton’s White House, writes in a new memo..... , the Democratic Party’s favorability rating has declined by 15 points since Obama took power. A Pew Research Center survey this January showed that the Democratic Party was viewed favorably by 47 percent of Americans, down from 62 percent in Jan. 2009.

2. Obama neither directly campaigned nor raised money for down-ticket Democrats last year. The post-election creation of Organizing for Action to push his own agenda has upset party regulars because it makes the Democratic National Committee less relevant than ever, squeezes fundraising for other Democratic groups and emphasizes issues that put moderates in a bind.

3. “Obama not only got elected by running against the party establishment, but he has governed as a President who does not emphasize his party label,” writes Sosnik.

4. Sosnik outlines several challenges facing his own party:

• Obama’s personal popularity does not easily translate for other candidates. The president is not building the Democratic Party’s institutional apparatus in a way that it will thrive when he’s gone.

• The losses in the 2010 midterms gave Republicans control of the redistricting process, which will be in effect until after the 2020 census. This gives the GOP a structural advantage in keeping the House.

• Millennials, born 1981 to 1994, and Generation X’ers, born 1965 to 1980, are voting Democratic, but a plurality identify themselves as independents — which makes them less reliable.

• Democrats cannot count on the same level of African-American turnout without Obama at the top of the ticket. Sosnik cites new analysis showing that in 2012 for the first time ever eligible black voters turned out a higher rate than whites.

5. While Republicans have a serious Hispanic problem, Sosnik explains, “younger Hispanics feel less of an allegiance to the Democratic Party than their elders.” Only 50 percent of Hispanic voters aged 18-34 identify themselves as Democrats, according to Gallup, compared to 59 percent of Hispanic voters 55 or older.

6. If Hillary Clinton does not run, Sosnik fears that Democrats will be left with a thin bench of top-flight presidential contenders in 2016.

7. Looking to 2014, Democratic base groups also tend to turn out at lower rates for midterms than presidential elections.

8. In terms of actual policy making, Sosnik believes that it will be “almost impossible” for Obama to effectively engage Congress.

9. ... the fact that he didn’t set out a clear policy agenda for a second term left him without a clear mandate to govern over a politically divided Congress....

10. “Furthermore,” he writes, “there’s not a single member of either party who fears paying a political price for not falling in line with the President, making it even more difficult to get members to cast difficult votes.”

First, the socialist/communists took over the Democrat Party..

11. Creation of the Progressive Caucus is credited to Bernie Sanders. The groups in the radical network include a) the Congressional Progressive Caucus, b) the Congressional Black Caucus, c) the Populist Caucus, and the d) Progressive Democrats of America.

a. Allied with the above is ACORN, SEIU, and the Institute for Policy Studies

b. And, indirectly, the Center for American Progress and the Apollo Alliance.
Aaron Klein, "Red Army"

.....but even that wasn't extreme enough for them....

Interesting....the folks talking about a third party didn't recognize that we have one now.....
the Obama Fanatics Party.

The Republican't Party is in decline and I'll explain why. Unless one signs on and never questions the long held and never proven platitudes of the new and extreme conservative wing, they are immediately thrown under the bus and considered to be a RINO.

Anyone who denies this fact is a liar or stupid.

Hence, to question the 'authority', i.e. the dogma, is forbidden; true leaders don't follow, they lead - many times in the face of criticism and doubt.

that is an explaination? a little weak there bub

There is only one big unanswered political question for us. Who, what, when will replace the GOP as they continued down the path to extinction. They have decided to stay on that path, so their demise is certain, their replacement is a given, while the details remain unclear.

To me it's a question of leadership. Who will emerge from the ashes?

I don't see anybody fighting for first place yet. They all seem content to believe that Rush and Rupert, the NRA and the church can be influential enough to bring enough votes to the table to make a difference despite the evidence to the contrary.

IMO 2016 will be the evidence needed to make a new party imperative and the GOP's demise unarguable. That's not much time for new, effective leadership to emerge.

Well....if you have your 'druthers'......the KGB.

The Republican Party, as it exists today cannot survive as a major party

Demographics are their worst enemy........Young women, blacks, hispanics, gays, teachers, union members

Do they ever run out of people to offend?

Split the country then neither side has to worry about the other side. The liberal part can just wallow until it dies, like every other socialist organism has died.

teachers know obama is screwing them. union members are on the decline, they need to keep running a black candidate to hold the black vote in high numbers. gun owners outnumber all of the above. the democrats are toast

apoligies to the late great Everett Dirksen, but "start out with the blacks, then you offend the latinos, and then the gays, and then you tell Asians you're cutting education, and the women don't need the pill cause they can't get pregnant when raped ... pretty soon you're talking real numbers here." (-:

The problem is that the moonbat leaders are aware of that inevitable outcome. It only works if we all suffer together, because a few of their victims might escape.

guns will take more liberal political lives at the voting booths then bullets do in real life.
