What the OP is advocating is unequal treatment by government and government picking winners and losers.... What should be done is complete equal treatment of a flat tax... whether it be on consumption or earnings... people will always scream about 'fairness', but fairness is subjective and not everyone can be satisfied.. to some, the only 'fair' way is for them to pay nothing and have other people pay it for them.. as wrong as that may be

The Right want to cut Head Start and other entitlement programs to pay for tax cuts for the rich, two wars and pay down the debt that did not get us into the financial crisis. Head Start does work and it do give children a Head Start compared to Day Care that is a just a mother’s baby sitter. Head Start is a teaching tool. Most children that attend Head Start begin kindergarten already knowing what they would learn in kindergarten. Don’t take a rocket scientist to understand that. Comp. Immg. Reform is going to create a need for more Head Start spending and more spending in all areas of entitlements. Think about that Right Wingers when you support Comp. Immg. Reform. It is going to create more spending.

Bring back CETA and other jobs training programs for people who have dropped out of school to give them a head start.

We have a revenue problem created by Bush’s tax cuts for the rich, two unfunded wars, not an entitlement spending problem.

Taking from the poor will make the poor more dependent on entitlements and create more spending. Entitlement spending did not cause financial crisis of the Bush era and should not have to be cut to pay down the debt.

Don’t make my children and grandchildren pay for tax cuts for the rich and the two unfunded ongoing wars.

Actually the public school system does a pretty good job in comparison to other countries with very young children. As they grow older, however, it gets worse and worse. Then when they graduate they end up 48th in math and science compared to their international peers.

Why is that? What kind of educational system is it again? Oh yea, the GOP obstructed government. Well, just as soon as you destroy the GOP you can fix this as well.
