What? You say you are 57 and you think this? explain why russia had the iron curtain? Explain why people could not leave Russia, explain why people were being killed if they were trying to go over the wall from Russia to where ever?
There was no wall; you are thinking of Germany's Berlin Wall. The former Soviet Union was not a communist country. It was a fascist dictatorship that called itself a communist country.
There has never been a real communist nation on Planet Earth; communism is a failed pie-in-the-sky political theory that assumes mankind is instinctively cooperative.

Oh but there was a walol it was made of a fence. People in communist country's could not come as go as they pleased.. Communism is communism no matter how you try to soften it's effect. No country has to be controlled by true communism. History has showen that governments that were controlled by communist have murdered their people and have control everything in their life.
Once again, "communism" has never been any nation's form of government and likely never will be. Facsism has been, and has often been called "communism". The former Soviet Union was a facsist regime.
