I've seen this, and it's amazing to teach youth to be independent and learn basic skills. Unfortunately, in the United States, if you let a young child go fishing by himself, some Karen would raise it as an issue.

I love this idea, and I wish it would be celebrated more in the United States to teach youth these basic skills to differentiate them as they enter the job market and adulthood.
