Texas House approves sweeping abortion restrictions

“Abortion is a procedure. It’s not really a surgery. There’s not any incisions, there’s not any stitches. The procedure itself takes maybe five or 10 minutes. So it’s not like an operation that has multiple physicians where the patients knee is open or her belly is open for a sort of more invasive that this sort of ambulatory surgical center was really devised for," Miller said.

Issue in Texas Abortion Debate: What's an Ambulatory Surgical Center? | KUT News

dumbo, it is an OPERATION. and a potentially mortal one. With a high chance to cause morbidity. With infection being the most simple one.
Learn something about perforation of the uterus and it's complications. Not to mention the perforations of all the hollow organs around.
Or is it too much for your anatomy ignorance?

You have not given anything positive on this issue.

One, the bill categorically does not signficially improve the safety and welfare of prgenant women.

Two, the bill denies equal access.

Either address the points and stop trolling, Vox, or admit you fail by writing "dumbo troll, go away."

The quote was from this woman. Since you obviously chose to not read it, here's some more.....

Amy Hagsrom Miller is president and CEO of Whole Woman’s Health, which has abortion clinics in five Texas cities. At the hearing, she said hospitals have a financial reason to reject an abortion physician looking for admitting privileges: hospitals grant privileges to doctors who can bring in business.

“Abortion hardly has any complications, period. We’re not revenue generators for hospitals. We don’t bring business to the hospital as abortion providers," Miller said.

Then there’s the provision of the bill that would require abortions to only be performed in facilities that meet the standards of an ambulatory surgical center, or ASC. Miller has one of the five ASC abortion clinics already up and running in Texas.

The same set so fixed on preventing gun controls, which claimed the reaction to the horror of Sandy Hook was a hysterical response by gun grabbers, are now willing to deny the right to all women their right to choose and are using hysterical rhetoric to justify the state taking control of a women's health.

But, but..but.. the Second Amendment gives everyone the right to own and use a gun on whomever they choose. The Constitution says so.

One has nothing to do with the other you dishonest creep.

The Texas Legislature had to suspend it's rules to ram this through.

Specially targeting one medical procedure with undue regulations for the purpose of prohibiting that procedure is unconstitutional.

Texas will turn blue, this is just more writing on the wall.

So your against this sort of legislating???? Bet you agreed with something like this happening to get Obama-care rammed through huh?

This is about Texas not the President.

In other words you hate that I pointed out your hypocrisy.

THIS WOMAN is an interested party - Amy Hagsrom Miller is president and CEO of Whole Woman’s Health, which has abortion clinics in five Texas cities. - her goal is to MINIMIZE the COST and MAXIMIZE the PROFIT ( abortion clinic is a BUSINESS), not to provide the best care.

She is not even a physician.

It's her goal to minimize the impact and she LIES - abortion is an operation and is potentially mortal procedure. It also has abundant and severe morbidity if not done in the right conditions.

I find this interesting. When the Left wants birth control coverage to be forced on employer health plans, they talk about is as a "medical need". As if altering your body's natural chemistry to accomodate fucking your brains out without prophylactic protection from a wide variety of STDs is a necessity.

And yet you are now downplaying abortion as a "procedure".

From what I've read Birth Control Pills aren't just for fucking ones brains out anymore. As opposed to allowing certain employers to not provide an option for the purchase of a policy that covers birth control, IMO all employers that are required to offer insurance should be required to offer at least one that covers birth control pills. Even if it means the employee has to pay more.

I'm not sure what one has to do with the other?

does the constitution also say they have a right to murder babies? I didn't think so. why don't you at least try an argument that justifies your pointless point of view next time.

Nope.

Doesn't say you don't have the right to murder babies either.

For a lawman you are awfully ignorant of the Constitution.

:doubt:

great logic. if the constitution doesn't say you can't do something specifically it must be ok. I swear, libs get dumber everyday.

There has been a lot made of this not being able to get a abortion after 20 weeks for the record current Texas law bars the procedure after 26 weeks so the cut off time to get a abortion is going from basically 6 months to 5 months. If a woman is going to get a abortion doesn't she usually make her mind about that long before 5 or 6 months in?

Apparently not progressive women

Requiring that abortions be performed by doctors and that those abortions be performed in a facility able to deal with complications, in proximity to a hospital that could deal with serious complications is not unreasonable. It is common sense.

Trying to make abortions safer is a good thing....right Libs?
