I would love to see Obama veto the following Bill having passed both Houses:

THE LIBERTY RESTORATION ACT

A Bill to repeal Obamacare and restore the People's inalienable right to make their own medical and health care decisions and choices

The Affordable Care Act is hereby repealed and the various State Governments and people therein are to reclaim and exercise their rights and powers retained under the Ninth and Tenth Amendments to our Constitution which were adopted to specifically prohibit the Constitution to be construed in such a manner as to deny or disparage rights retained by the people, or those reserve to the States respectively as summarized in Federalist No. 45:

“The powers delegated by the proposed Constitution to the federal government are few and defined. Those which are to remain in the State governments are numerous and indefinite. The former will be exercised principally on external objects, as war, peace, negotiation, and foreign commerce; with which last the power of taxation will, for the most part, be connected.

The powers reserved to the several States will extend to all the objects which, in the ordinary course of affairs, concern the lives, liberties, and properties of the people, and the internal order, improvement, and prosperity of the State.”

_______

Now, when will one of our supposed "conservatives" in Congress propose such a bill?

"The Constitution is the act of the people, speaking in their original character, and defining the permanent conditions of the social alliance; and there can be no doubt on the point with us, that every act of the legislative power contrary to the true intent and meaning of the Constitution, is absolutely null and void."___ Chancellor James Kent, in his Commentaries on American Law (1858)

There is an easier way, and has been shown to be effective. The only effective leadership Obama has managed to date.

Elect a President that will simply stop enforcing Obamacare and carve out exemptions for all groups of people until 2150.

If we can make 51 percent of America’s population dependent upon an Obama, welfare, food stamp, section 8 housing, college loan check, and now free Obamacare along with free bacon [ame=http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=zI8HRGWKCRc]FREE BACON[/ame], we can blackmail them for their vote, keep ourselves in power and keep the remaining portion of America’s productive population enslaved to pay the bills ____ Obama’s Marxist Free Cheese Democracy, which is designed to establish a federal plantation and redistribute the wealth which wage earners, business and investors have worked to create.

I have no use for the far right reactionary wing nuts.

The GOP is now invested in ACA in Washington and the various state.

ACA stays, and the far right goes.

Liberty. As long as you aren't dirt poor and can afford your healthcare its liberty...if not TOUGH SHIT!

When I was born my folks lived in East Harlem, New York. We were "dirt poor". But hard work, and in my case working two jobs, changed my station in life. Stop freaken crying and carry your own weight.

They are not “liberals”. They are conniving Marxist parasites who use the cloak of government force to steal the wealth which wage earners, business and investors have worked to create

where's my Obama phone???

And the rest of free government cheese?

Yea, we haven't seen one of those before

Not one that reflects a return to our Constitution as stated by those who framed and ratified our Constitution and its stated provisions.

JWK

Those who reject and ignore abiding by the intentions and beliefs under which our Constitution was agree to, as those intentions and beliefs may be documented from historical records, wish to remove the anchor and rudder of our constitutional system so they may then be free to “interpret” the Constitution to mean whatever they wish it to mean.

Didn't the Supreme Court already declare Obamacare Constitutional?

Actually, they didn't

Seemed pretty cut and dry with a CONSERVATIVE court voting in favor of Obamacare

Still Butthurt?

What are kids supposed to do?

Get a freaken job like I did. I started delivering ice to people with ice boxes when I was 12 years old, not to mention shining shoes and various other jobs. My generation did not expect, not want, government cheese. You seem very comfortable to use government force to steal your neighbor's paycheck for you personal economic needs. Your kind of tyranny was eloquently addressed a very long time ago:

"Under a just and equal Government, every individual is entitled to protection in the enjoyment of the whole product of his labor, except such portion of it as is necessary to enable Government to protect the rest; this is given only in consideration of the protection offered. In every bounty, exclusive right, or monopoly, Government violates the stipulation on her part; for, by such a regulation, the product of one man's labor is transferred to the use and enjoyment of another. The exercise of such a right on the part of Government can be justified on no other principle, than that the whole product of the labor or every individual is the real property of Government, and may be distributed among the several parts of the community by government discretion; such a supposition would directly involve the idea, that every individual in the community is merely a slave and bondsman to Government, who, although he may labor, is not to expect protection in the product of his labor. An authority given to any Government to exercise such a principle, would lead to a complete system of tyranny."

I wonder if the moonbat messiah's NSA didn't uncover something embarrassing about Chief Justice Roberts and use it as leverage. His ruling was unbelieably fucked up.

Is that your opinion? If so, feel free to point to the wording in our Constitution granting power to Congress to enter the States to regulate the people's medical and health care decisions and choices. Additionally, you may want to study settled law which confirms the America people have a fundamental right to make their own medical and healthcare decisions and choices, and to imping upon the fundamental right is presumptively unconstitutional.

A legislative act which "impinges upon a fundamental right explicitly or implicitly secured by the Constitution is presumptively unconstitutional." See: Harris v. McRae United States Supreme Court (1980) Also see City of Mobile v. Bolden, 466 U.S. 55, 76, 100 S.Ct. 1490, 64 L.Ed.2d 47 (1980)

And in Rivers v. Katz (67 N.Y.2d 485) 1986 the Court stated the following:

In Storar, we recognized that a patient's right to determine the course of his medical treatment was paramount to what might otherwise be the doctor's obligation to provide medical care, and that the right of a competent adult to refuse medical treatment must be honored, even though the recommended treatment may be beneficial or even necessary to preserve the patient's life. This fundamental common-law right is coextensive with the patient's liberty interest protected by the due process clause of our State Constitution.

In our system of a free government, where notions of individual autonomy and free choice are cherished, it is the individual who must have the final say in respect to decisions regarding his medical treatment in order to insure that the greatest possible protection is accorded his autonomy and freedom from unwanted interference with the furtherance of his own….

Also see: "The mere chilling of a Constitutional right by a penalty on its exercise is patently unconstitutional." Shapiro v. Thompson, 394 U.S. 618

The problem with the LRA is one of logic. It claims or asserts (or assumes, or implies) that Obamacare prevents or prohibits individuals from making their own healthcare decisions. It does not. They're free to choose whatever available plans are offered to them. If anything is true, insurance companies are the ones who prevent and/or prohibit their customers AND the customers' doctors from choosing methods of treatment that are deemed appropriate to the condition of the patients.
