That's Called Appeasement, Maxine

I don't know what she has in mind, but we SHOULD be engaged in INTENSIVE talks with North Korea, South Korea and Japan right now.

If NK and the US ignore each other like two squabbling children and end up killing millions in a war, both would be complicit.

Communicating with the enemy is not the same as capitulation. That includes domestic politics. Why is this so difficult to understand?

Behind the scenes, we are.
I'm not sure about NK. I've seen some reports that we're not, but then this comes up: http://nypost.com/2017/08/11/white-house-has-quietly-engaged-in-back-channel-talks-with-north-korea/

So here's hoping.

It was reported at a couple of sources last night that backchannel comm with the DPRK is "continuing".

Never will understand the ever increasing horror the right has for diplomacy, maybe it has to do with the fact that it has prevented some of the useless wars you all wanted?
