Romney was right in saying that he should not bother trying to win over the 47% who would never vote for him and he could never win over.
Probably he was.
But then when he went on to denounce them as lazy and victims, while talking to people who paid more than most of them make in a year to hear him talk, that's where he screwed up.
Sorry, Mr. Romney, most of the 51% who voted for Obama have jobs (despite douchebags like you sending the good ones off to China or Mexico) and pay taxes (a much higher percentage of their income than the 11% you paid on the tax returns you'd actually release.)
They bust their asses so people like the 1% who were at that dinner can live the good life.
If this is what Romney really believed, why wasn't this the center of his campaign? Because he knew people would be offended by it, and rightfully so. But get him in a room of his fellow rich douchebags, and lo and behold, the real Romney came out from behind the curtain.
He just forgot some of the wage slaves were there serving the drinks and clearing those $50,000 plates.
