UN Security Cuncil is morally and legally standing idly by vis a vis the aggressions committed by the Sudanese armed groups in North Kordofan and Darfur where former rebel leaders were assassinated by jibreel Ibrahim led Justice and Equality Movement.

JEM has has assassinated the leaders of the splinter faction for signing peace agreement last April with the Sudanese government in Doha.

The aggression carried by Sudan Revolutionary Front has resulted in genocide and raping in Kershola and Um Rawaba.

The unjustifiable attack has targeted the civilians and threatened regional and international security in Kershola and the Sudanese-South Sudanese border areas where muti ethic groups groups live. The attack is completely unjustifiable since the rebels have attacked and destroyed populated areas.

The Security Council which is responsible for the repercussion of the attack has made no move to transfer the rebel attack and assassins of the peace signatories to the ICC.

The politically motivated assassination was carried out in retaliation of the top defectors and is expected to fan tribal revenge and fierce war in the region.

The rebel attack in North kordofan was tended to make some political gains in the negotiations with the government at the expense of the civilians who were killed and displaced.

The Security Council resolution 2046 has put the cart before the horse when it urged the Sudanese government to negotiate with Sudan Liberation Movement-North.

Backed by US, the resolution aimed to give the SLM-N political position and to repeat the same scenario of the SPLM.

The Security Council has incited member states to antagonize the innocent people who have nothing to do with the war. It seems that US envoy to UN, Suzan Rice is consulting the rebel leaders how much time they want to finalize their operations before they issue the statements.
