Trump is pro gay marriage. What the DNC needs to do is not go around looking for a fight on every front. The whole thing about baking cakes for gay weddings, using a bathroom that makes you feel more like your inner man/woman, how gender identity works on a case-by-case basis. At the federal level, the Democrats need to simply ignore the issue. I said at the time Obama pushed the “stupid button” by getting involved.

Yes, because it has zero impact on election 2016...because nobody really cares if male creeps are in the showers with their daughters. And nobody cares if children are divorced for life from either a mother or father, via contract (gay marriage). And if they do care, they don't care very much. Those that oppose LGBTxzywegsy etc...rights are a minority. Most people couldn't care less and have a live and let live attitude.

The Dems didn't lose the election because of this issue, in fact there are a lot of Republicans that support or are indifferent to LTGBT rights.

In fact, LGBT's were the one group that turned out in large numbers this election...just about every other liberal group had a poor turn out. So it's doubtful that the Dems are going to drop the LGBT issues.

In fact the reason why the Dems lost is that Hillary was the ho-hum candidate. No new ideas, no change. She was boring! Her primary justification for her Presidency was 'I'm a woman'.

Most people couldn't care less whether a candidate is a man or a woman!

Furthermore, Hillary IGNORED economic issues. You'd think that Sanders would have woke her up on that, but she just didn't get it.

Finally, the real losers were the feminists. There has never been such a contest between feminism vs. male chauvinism. As it turned out, Hillary could not win even a sizable majority of the women in this country. That says something...the majority of American women do not fell very strongly about feminist issues.

Here is a priceless clip of the panel on MSNBC election night 2016, where it's a debate between the reasonable blonde woman trying to paint a prettier picture (spin) of what happened to dems....while oddly, a shocked Rachael Maddow reminded viewers that it wasn't a referendum on clearing the trash from Washington because republican candidates stayed in office. ie: it was a referendum on the democrats as a whole. (oops!).

Then Maddow even expresses dismay that the republicans stayed intact while merely having Trump at the top as a figurehead, instead of getting blasted to smithereens by the voters. Cue: 1:18-1:35
