His legacy would be hurt far worse by being the second incumbent to bow out and to do so four months before an election. Worse, Dems will lose by even more if Harris is the replacement.

His legacy would be better preserved if he ran and lost as is expected than if he dropped out.

What is the big deal about Covid, anyway? Is it any more contagious than the common cold? Is anyone dying from it? I don't know why anyone bothers to get tested any more. Are the Dems using it to resurrect their fear campaign?
