The Definitive Critical Race Theory Thread

The definitive reality check:
Yep… seems like elementary kids would eat this in-doctro-nashun shit up and straight turn commie. :uhoh3:
It sure isn't education. It's race hustling and deliberately trying to establish hateful divisions. It's sick and evil.
Don't you get tired of parroting a slogan thought up by a hack journalist/media blowhard who lost his job being an office sleaze with the ladies? Outside of what the right wing wonks and websites tell you, you don't even know the core tenants of the theory. Here's a primer for your education: The Right Has Chosen Critical Race Theory as Its New Boogeyman to Scare Voters

Critical Race Theory deems every American either a victim or an oppressor.

The Democrat Party supports this blasphemy being saddled on every school child.

Is this your view as well?
Your first sentence is a lie, given that you have no proof outside of your own opinion and OP Ed pieces by right wing wonks. Neither of you can point to any direct quote from the original thesis papers to substantiate your lame propaganda. Let me know when you can.
The truth. White people are the oppressors and all people of color are oppressed. That's the basic message of CRT.

Not just 'basic message'......it is clearly stated as such.
It's clear how you two seem to love repeating a lie that you cannot logically prove. Like your compadre here, you make definitive claims, yet use personal interpretation to support those claims, juxtaposing parts of the original (or subsequent) CRT papers as a means. Pity for you there are people who have enough intelligence to use critical thinking and analysis to see your folly. Carry on.

"Your first sentence is a lie,"

My first sentence, and every other one I post, is 100% accurate

Critical Race Theory deems every American either a victim or an oppressor.

Let's check....and mind the quotes from the Progressives/Racists:

1. Critical Race Theory, in the definition proposed in the 1993 book Words That Wound, co-authored by Mari Matsuda, Charles Lawrence III, Richard Delgado, and Kimberlè Crenshaw:

"Critical race theory recognizes that racism is endemic to American life. Rather than seeing racism as aberrational, CRT scholars see it as the norm.

Critical race theory expresses skepticism toward dominant legal claims of neutrality, objectivity, color blindness, and meritocracy.

More important, as critical race theorists we adopt a stance that presumes that racism has contributed to all contemporary manifestations of group advantage and disadvantage along racial lines, including differences in income, imprisonment, health, housing, education, political representation, and military service. Our history calls for this presumption….whites must simply defer to the voices of their non-white peers."

2. The simplest rebuttal is this statement of America’s Creed, which is the opposite of CRT.

…the creed embodies “the political principles of liberty, equality, democracy, individualism, human rights, the rule of law, and private property.” Samuel P. Huntington’s Who Are We? The Challenges to America’s National Identity, p.46

3. A detailed and step-wise dismembering of the aberrant anti-humanity Critical Race Theory, by James A. Lindsay, begins here:

“ Critical Race Theory believes racism is present in every aspect of life, every relationship, and every interaction.

…the usual way society does business, the common, everyday experience of most people of color in this country,”

… what they mean by “racism” isn’t even what most people think racism means. It is not prejudice based upon race or believing some races to be superior or inferior to others that they mean by “racism.” It is, instead, the “system” of everything that happens in the social world and beyond that results in any disparity that works in the favor of “racially privileged” groups (on average) or any “racially oppressed” person claiming they experience racial oppression.

… people who take up Critical Race Theory to look for racism in everything until they find it.

In the workplace that adopts Critical Race Theory, this means that it’s only a matter of time until someone with that worldview finds out how your entire company and its culture is “racist.” At that point, they will cause a meltdown that forces everyone to take sides and demand a reorganization of the entire (now divided) office culture and management.

In schools, it will mean teaching our children to think this way and always be looking for racism in every situation and interaction. In our personal relationships, it means that friends and even family members—especially our kids who have already been educated with Critical Race Theory ideas that have been incorporated in our schools—will eventually call each other out and reject one another, because tolerating racism is also considered a form of racism t

hat would have to be discovered and stopped.”

Eight Big Reasons Critical Race Theory Is Terrible for Dealing with Racism

This is the binary system into which the Left has plunged America: to vote Democrat is to endorse Critical Race Theory....,

.....and vice versa.
You keep thinking that repeating the SOS will magically make your assertions and statements true.

Hint: it doesn't.

Let me educate you: recognizing and publicly acknowledging congenital racism in our society does NOT automatically divide the country into victims and oppressors, as not every person in the majority population are racists or bigots. It's never been that way, because if it was the abolitionist movement wouldn't have existed in history, nor the subsequent support of the Civil Rights Movement, etc.

That is common sense if one is aware of this country's history. Asking white folk to concede the points of black folk on this subject is not so far fetched a request, as anything else has been a slow, plodding and sometimes bloody process to equality. So a major support of your repetitive screed is yanked out, and your house of cards falls.

This country has had a bi-partisan consensus in favor of racial equality for blacks since the early 60s.

Your denial of this fact is delusional.
Umm, not quite: for your education:

My point was that the lie these anti-CRT folk keep promoting about division being all inclusive for the country has never been so. Hope this clears things up.

Florida parents say the board's pledge promotes racism rather than dismantling it

In a mission statement posted to the board’s website, it vowed to eliminate racism and systems of inequity, but Florida parents have argued the statement is at odds with their intended goal.

"Your statement is dividing us, and it incites racism," mother of two, Jessica Martinez, told board members Wednesday, according to The Palm Beach Post.

The statement says the board is committed to "dismantling structures rooted in white advantage and transforming our system by hearing and elevating under-represented voices, sharing power, recognizing and eliminating bias, and redistributing resources to provide equitable outcomes."

"Equity, as you are calling it, is a political view and it is racist," Amanda Silvestri told the board. "None of this despicable, political, racist nonsense should be pushed on innocent children and has absolutely no business being taught in schools," she added."

The “Roadmap to Reopening Safely and Meeting All Students’ Needs” explains that “schools are microcosms of society,” and that therefore “intentional conversations related to race and social emotional learning . . . are the foundation for participating in a democracy and should be anchor tenets in building a schoolwide system of educational opportunity.”

I understand that your side is willing to sacrifice

TOTAL ABORTIONS SINCE 1973:
59,115,995

Based on numbers reported by the Guttmacher Institute 1973-2014, with projections of 926,190 for 2015-16. GI estimates a possible 3 percent under reporting rate, which is factored into the overall total. [1/17]

How many are you ready to sacrifice to this abomination, Critical Race Theory.....????????

How many is too many????
How many times are you going to trot out the SOS? Bottom line: all you've done is just MINUTE expansion of your previous bilge, which I aptly reviewed. That's the problem with you 3rd rate propagandists...very prolific but unable to aptly stand up to scrutiny. Is that from page one of the Democrat Racist Rule Book???
Yes, he is....as the the subsequent links I provided proved. Obviously you didn't read them.....typical willful ignorance of a Cheeto Jeezus acolyte.

It's like this sweetpea, when you make a claim, people will do research to see if that claim holds any water....they do so with a little thing called fact checking. The links I provided PROVE that Carlson is either a liar or too damned stupid to check his facts or both. This is his forte that he co-joins with his opinion. That makes him a useful idiot for the Cheeto Jeezus religion that has usurp the GOP. Carry on.

There was some local resistance in the beginning, which various Presidents, (johnson, nixon) crushed.

But the consensus held and the resisting racists, actual racists, lost their battles and were marginalized since then, with no voice in national policy.

Since critical theory in general is based on no absolute truth, it is antichrist. This would eliminate God. For God's truth is absolute. Any Critical <blank> Theory is false and we should all fight against such crap.
You do know that under our Constitution, we have freedom of and from religion, right? Also, the "under God" part of our Pledge was added during the post WWII, rising Soviet Union, right (aka "godless commies)? And there was NEVER a Constitutional law that mandated prayer or the Pledge in our public schools, right?

Like I've said to others, if many white Americans are comfortable for being responsible for all that is good in this country, then they damn sure better have the courage to admit their mistakes as well. CRT says let's acknowledge the problem, don't demonize EVERYONE, and fix it.
When a lot of people are bullshit artists that makes a nation decline. And we are due to equity. Hidden figures is bullshit as presented. Tuskegee Airmen were bullshit as presented. Selling the past as bad as per race and then changing it with false stories is why we are in decline. Those people existed. Not just as important as presented.
You do realize you're babbling like an intellectually impotent clown, right? I mean, in one paragraph you just abjectly deny history then try to rewrite the narrative here. I don't think you even realize how you contradict yourself, much less show confusion as to the point I was making. Clearly, any attempt to have a rational, fact based discussion with you is useless. I leave you to your little Jerry Falwell world. Carry on.

Christophobic bigot.

You think that centuries of ingrained racism can be erased in a generation? Civil rights only passed in the LATE 60s. It is going to take a lot longer than 50 years to remove all the tentacles that have wound their way into our system and culture.

What is wrong with examining why racial inequality still persists, even decades after these laws have passed? How do you fix it if you don’t know why it keeps going?

America's system is a TWO PARTY system. THe reasons are not important in this context.

For quite a while the republicans were pushing for racial equality for blacks, and the democrats were fighting that.

When the dems stopped fighting it, and started supporting it, suddenly in just a few years, Racists had no voice in national policy.

The moral and intellectual Debate, they had already lost well before that.

At that point, White Racists became marginalized. I grew up not long after wards and ALL the education and media and culture I got, supported the BI-Party line, of racial equality and blah, blah, blah, to the point I was bored with it. Indeed, i did not understand as a child why they kept harping on it.

For most people today, the time when white racism was openly practiced and had real political power and actual policy based on their agenda, seems...like another world.

TODAY, and indeed, even then, though not as bad as now, the message is not "examining why racial inequality still exists", but ASSUMING any inequality is because of Wacism and blaming white people and mobilizing EVERYTHING to fight it/them.

ANY voice raised, discussing an "inequality" that says ANTHING, other than "white people's fault" is dogpiled and shouted down with cries of wacism.

This is tearing this nation apart. It is teaching blacks that whites hate them, and teaching whites that they are always going to be fucked and discriminated against.

After all, if there is an "inequality" and the cause is NOT evul whites, but the solution implemented is based on the idea that is it evul whites, whites will be punished and suffer for shit that they did not do.
Politicians deciding something in DC did not change society and culture.

Blacks don’t have to be taught that a lot of whites hate them, believe stereotypes about them, fear them…they live it every day. That you refuse to see it just perpetuates it.

I like the way you dismiss law and national policy as "politicians deciding something".

My parents were working class dems, from the Depression Era. They were primary motivated by the Union culture of the Rust Belt. Based on what I saw, long after the fact, the long standing alliance of the dem party to southern racists must have been a negative that they were forced to ignore because of overriding economic issues.

When the politicians flipped on that issue, it would not have been a problem for working class dems in the Rust Belt. They were already there on that issue, long before the Party that they supported DESPITE their racist allilance.

You are living in a fantasy land, where you imagine that your enemies are villains, so that you can be the hero.
I’m afraid it is you that is living in a fantasy land. You seem to think that legislation was passed and suddenly unicorns were farting daisies. It didn’t happen that way. It still hasn’t happened that way.

Racism was baked into our system for centuries and you think it can be a erased in a couple of decades?

I addressed that point. My point was that, imo, the dem party was FOLLOWING society, not the other way around.

I supported my point, with personal observation of my family and community in the Rust Belt.

You ignored everything I said, and just repeated your previous assertion, with a sprinkling of hyperbole and ridicule.
You weren't trying to make a point beyond "derp, dems bad, derp". The thing you keep fucking up is that you idiots think the division on civil rights was Democrats vs Republicans. It wasn't. It was North vs South...again.

We know that institutional racism exists. What is so wrong at looking at why it prevails over half a century after the civil rights act?

My point was in response to that question. I am celebrating the fact that, long ago, the Democratic Party embraced the idea of racial equality for blacks. That is not "dem bad". When I have bad things to say about the dems, I say them clearly and loudly. YOu don't have to search for nuance.

Institutional anti-black racism does NOT exist. That is a lie. This nation has had a bi-partisan consensus on racial equality for blacks since the early 60s. National policy has been based on that, since then. Federal and State law has been based on that since then. Culture and media and education has constantly and strongly indoctrinated generation after generation of Americans in that consensus since then.
It exists. Your refusal to see it perpetuates it.

You see being anti-racism as being anti-white. That tells us a lot about you.

Policy, law, cultural, media, education, for 60 years has been united in pushing a bi-partisan consensus in favor of racial equality for blacks.

Schools? Have you ever met a teacher or a school administrator? They are some of the most liberal people on the fucking planet.

I reject the claim that our schools are wacist.
Gee, color me surprised that you eschew facts. Typical Trump supporter.

Carry on.

"... repeating a lie...."

I never lie.

And, I did prove it with overwhelming documentation.

7. “The first and most important bedrock principle of critical race theory is that racism is not an individual, conscious decision to be a racist or act on that belief. No, it’s “systemic.” Racism, according to critical race theory’s purveyors, is written into America’s laws, institutions, and capitalist system. What masquerades as American culture is actually the norms and practices of white people.

“Critical race theory,” writes one of its main architects, Angela Harris, “takes the position that racism pervades our institutions, our beliefs, and our everyday practices.” Is Your School Hiding Its Critical Race Theory Teaching? 5 Things to Ask

America is based on considering each of us as an individual.

8. “A second principle follows from the first: Behaviors and beliefs are inherent in identity categories, and thus the members of these categories must not adopt American culture—which, in their telling, is merely a conspiracy to perpetuate white supremacy. Members of minority groups must never assimilate to standard practices or norms, even those that appear neutral on the surface.

“[M]any Latinos naturally view information about time more generally and simply cannot see the judicial system’s need for specificity and exactitude,” writes Maria Ontiveros, a professor at the University of San Francisco, in her book “Critical Race Feminism.” Is Your School Hiding Its Critical Race Theory Teaching? 5 Things to Ask

9. “…must not adopt American culture….”

Or any of these characteristics:

Among those traditions, attitudes, and ways of life are: Individualism, hard work, objectivity, the nuclear family, a belief in progress, a written tradition, politeness, the justice system, respect for authority, delayed gratification and planning for the future, plus much more.” Smithsonian Goes Full Marxist: Nuclear Family, Science, Christianity All Part of Oppressive 'Whiteness'

“Smithsonian Goes Full Marxist: Nuclear Family, Science, Christianity All Part of Oppressive 'Whiteness'

Among other things, this graphic suggests that the nuclear family, science, capitalism, and the Judeo-Christian tradition are forms of oppressive “whiteness” that non-white people should reject as part of an oppressive system.

“Whiteness and the normalization of white racial identity throughout America’s history have created a culture where nonwhite persons are seen as inferior or abnormal,” the Smithsonian “whiteness” page reads. The “teaching tool” suggests that “whiteness” needs to be overthrown in order for non-white people to become liberated from an oppressive “white culture.”

“Whiteness (and its accepted normality) also exist as everyday microaggressions toward people of color,” the Smithsonian page argues. “Acts of microaggressions include verbal, nonverbal, and environmental slights, snubs or insults toward nonwhites. Whether intentional or not, these attitudes communicate hostile, derogatory, or harmful messages

"The American Rescue Plan (ARP) requires school districts to reserve 20 percent of funds for “evidence-based” interventions that “respond to students’ academic, social, and emotional needs”—a very sensible charge. But the devil is in the definition, and the administration’s guidance booklet for spending ARP funds suggests that students’ social and emotional needs include the disruption of “whiteness” and the propagation of Critical Race Theory (CRT) ideology.

Quite the little propaganda machine, aren't you? A fraction of your screed points to individuals in a few school districts across the 50 states doing dumb things....the rest are the usual amalgamation of opinions, suppositions, conjecture, half truths and revisionist rhetoric .... none of which addresses exactly what Critical Race Theory has been about for the last 40 years. Here's an article that pulls the rug out from under your propagandistic pile: The Right Has Chosen Critical Race Theory as Its New Boogeyman to Scare Voters

Third graders reportedly made to ‘deconstruct’ their identities, rank themselves according to power and privilege An elementary school in Cupertino, California was reportedly caught brainwashing its third-grade students with the illiberal, racist doctrines of critical race theory.

Whistleblower documents provided to filmmaker, writer, and researcher Christopher Rufo of the Discovery Institute show that the children were forced to “deconstruct their racial and sexual identities” and “rank themselves according to their ‘power and privilege. “The teacher explained that the students live in a ‘dominant culture’ of ‘white, middle class, cisgender, educated, able-bodied, Christian, English-speaker,’ who, according to the lesson, ‘created and maintained’ this culture in order ‘to hold power and stay in power.' ”The teacher basically taught the children that normal, everyday white people — particularly the ones who are Christian — are bad.'” Third graders reportedly made to ‘deconstruct’ their identities, rank themselves according to power and privilege

Case in point: ‘Held hostage’: How critical race theory moved from Fox News to school boards

10. A third bedrock principle is that white people receive unearned privilege at birth, while other Americans are denied it. This “whiteness premium” has prevented the union of the working class.

Segregation, wrote the man widely recognized as the “Godfather” of critical race theory, Derrick Bell, “represented an economic-political compromise between the elite and working-class whites [that] gave to the poor the sense of superiority, while retaining the substance for the rich.”

I've noticed that when your sort can't deny the facts, you besmirch the source.

Carry on.

Pointing to the fact that teachers and administrators are overwhelmingly liberals dedicated to fighting wacism, is not eschewing facts, but embracing them.

SOmetimes I talk to them, and try to get understand how they feel about how they are constantly thrown under the bus by their fellow liberals.

I can't seem to get a straight answer. They do seem to appreciate that I point out that they are not wacist.
Teachers are only one layer of the education system. An education system that has had racism baked into it.

Data consistently shows that students of color are more likely to be disciplined than their White peers and receive harsher punishments for the same infractions. Black and Hispanic students are less likely to be placed in advanced or enriched classes, starting in elementary school. Many experts say school curriculums have failed to adequately reflect the perspectives of Indigenous and marginalized communities. And students and parents themselves often report that school culture does not feel welcoming.

You think that centuries of ingrained racism can be erased in a generation? Civil rights only passed in the LATE 60s. It is going to take a lot longer than 50 years to remove all the tentacles that have wound their way into our system and culture.

Whenever dunces like you post the propaganda that identifies the Democrats, I post the following, and watch how it silences them:

With respect to the education gap, how is it that 'racism' is responsible for these areas in which black students fall short when compared to white and Asian students:

The number of days absent from school

The number of hours spent watching TV

The number of pages read for homework

Quantity and quality of reading material in the home

The presence of two parents in the home.

How does 'racism' explain these ...deficiencies????

How are white folks responsible???

Put a cork in your pie hole, huh?

Maybe if the jigaboos work on their attitudes they might find people more welcoming.

Most administrators are promoted teachers. And as a group they tend to be liberals committed to racial equality for minority students.

If they are not, they are almost certainly moderates committed to racial equality for minority students.

The few that do not fit those two categories? Walk softly and try to not be noticed.

Studies? I call bullshit. Teachers are more likely to give minority students a pass for bad behavior, for fear of being called wacist, or to retreat behind some idiocy of a zero tolerance policy so they can punish both/all students involved to avoid assigning true blame, or something along those lines.
