The Definitive Critical Race Theory Thread

You think that centuries of ingrained racism can be erased in a generation? Civil rights only passed in the LATE 60s. It is going to take a lot longer than 50 years to remove all the tentacles that have wound their way into our system and culture.

What is wrong with examining why racial inequality still persists, even decades after these laws have passed? How do you fix it if you don’t know why it keeps going?

America's system is a TWO PARTY system. THe reasons are not important in this context.

For quite a while the republicans were pushing for racial equality for blacks, and the democrats were fighting that.

When the dems stopped fighting it, and started supporting it, suddenly in just a few years, Racists had no voice in national policy.

The moral and intellectual Debate, they had already lost well before that.

At that point, White Racists became marginalized. I grew up not long after wards and ALL the education and media and culture I got, supported the BI-Party line, of racial equality and blah, blah, blah, to the point I was bored with it. Indeed, i did not understand as a child why they kept harping on it.

For most people today, the time when white racism was openly practiced and had real political power and actual policy based on their agenda, seems...like another world.

TODAY, and indeed, even then, though not as bad as now, the message is not "examining why racial inequality still exists", but ASSUMING any inequality is because of Wacism and blaming white people and mobilizing EVERYTHING to fight it/them.

ANY voice raised, discussing an "inequality" that says ANTHING, other than "white people's fault" is dogpiled and shouted down with cries of wacism.

This is tearing this nation apart. It is teaching blacks that whites hate them, and teaching whites that they are always going to be fucked and discriminated against.

After all, if there is an "inequality" and the cause is NOT evul whites, but the solution implemented is based on the idea that is it evul whites, whites will be punished and suffer for shit that they did not do.
Politicians deciding something in DC did not change society and culture.

Blacks don’t have to be taught that a lot of whites hate them, believe stereotypes about them, fear them…they live it every day. That you refuse to see it just perpetuates it.

I like the way you dismiss law and national policy as "politicians deciding something".

My parents were working class dems, from the Depression Era. They were primary motivated by the Union culture of the Rust Belt. Based on what I saw, long after the fact, the long standing alliance of the dem party to southern racists must have been a negative that they were forced to ignore because of overriding economic issues.

When the politicians flipped on that issue, it would not have been a problem for working class dems in the Rust Belt. They were already there on that issue, long before the Party that they supported DESPITE their racist allilance.

You are living in a fantasy land, where you imagine that your enemies are villains, so that you can be the hero.
I’m afraid it is you that is living in a fantasy land. You seem to think that legislation was passed and suddenly unicorns were farting daisies. It didn’t happen that way. It still hasn’t happened that way.

Racism was baked into our system for centuries and you think it can be a erased in a couple of decades?

I addressed that point. My point was that, imo, the dem party was FOLLOWING society, not the other way around.

I supported my point, with personal observation of my family and community in the Rust Belt.

You ignored everything I said, and just repeated your previous assertion, with a sprinkling of hyperbole and ridicule.

That sort is far too fearful of their masters to dare to budge an inch from the talking points.

Well, can you blame them? THey know better than anyone how the lib mob has no mercy in it, at all.

But.....yes, I blame them.

9. The motivation behind Marxism/Critical Race Theory is the complete and utter destruction of Western Civilization. And toward that end…..

“ Critical Race Theory cannot be satisfied.

We have already seen how Critical Race Theory cannot be disagreed with, even by black people. We have also seen how it rejects all alternatives and how it believes any success that it has comes down to “interest convergence.” Because it rejects science, it cannot be falsified or proven wrong by evidence, and because it assumes racism is present and relevant to all situations and interactions, even the acceptance of Critical Race Theory must somehow also contain racism. Therefore, Critical Race Theory cannot be satisfied.

It is, in this way, like a black hole. No matter how much you give to it, it cannot be filled and only gets stronger—and it will tear apart anything that gets too close to it.

This means that if your workplace takes up Critical Race Theory, eventually activists will start to make demands and will threaten to make trouble if they do not get their way. (They usually do not ask.) If you give into them, you will not satisfy them, however, because Critical Race Theory cannot be satisfied. It is guaranteed, before you do anything at all, that you will do it wrong because of your racism. You did it out of “interest convergence,” to make yourself look good because of your racism. You did it in a way that just created new problems that amount to racism. You didn’t do it sooner, faster, or better because of your racism. No matter what you do, the resulting situation must contain racism, and the Critical Race Theory activist’s job is to find it and hold you to account.

Therefore, giving into a demand made by Critical Race Theory cannot appease it. It can, however, signal that you will give into their demands, which will then continue to come and to escalate. As we have seen in countless examples across the corporate world recently, this will include demands for you to step down from your job and give it to activists, and even that won’t satisfy them. And if the venture fails as a result of all of this disruption, racism was the cause of that failure too.”

Unless we can pry the schools from them, as earlier American pried their slaves from them.....America, and civilization, is lost.

Third graders reportedly made to ‘deconstruct’ their identities, rank themselves according to power and privilege An elementary school in Cupertino, California was reportedly caught brainwashing its third-grade students with the illiberal, racist doctrines of critical race theory.

Whistleblower documents provided to filmmaker, writer, and researcher Christopher Rufo of the Discovery Institute show that the children were forced to “deconstruct their racial and sexual identities” and “rank themselves according to their ‘power and privilege. “The teacher explained that the students live in a ‘dominant culture’ of ‘white, middle class, cisgender, educated, able-bodied, Christian, English-speaker,’ who, according to the lesson, ‘created and maintained’ this culture in order ‘to hold power and stay in power.' ”The teacher basically taught the children that normal, everyday white people — particularly the ones who are Christian — are bad.'” Third graders reportedly made to ‘deconstruct’ their identities, rank themselves according to power and privilege

“A Philadelphia elementary school recently forced fifth-grade students to celebrate “black communism” and simulate a Black Power rally in honor of political radical Angela Davis.

According to whistleblower documents and a source within the school, a fifth-grade teacher at the inner-city William D. Kelley School designed a social studies curriculum to celebrate Davis, praising the “black communist” for her fight against “injustice and inequality.”

…marched on the stage, holding signs that read “Black Power,” “Jail Trump,” “Free Angela,” and “Black Power Matters.”

Academically, it is one of the worst-performing schools in Pennsylvania. By sixth grade, only 3 percent of students are proficient in math, and 9 percent are proficient in reading. By graduation, only 13 percent of Kelley students will have achieved basic literacy.

Despite this abysmal academic performance, teachers and administrators at William Kelley have gradually abandoned traditional pedagogy in favor of political radicalism.”

"Florida parents outraged by school's 'White advantage' statement

Florida parents say the board's pledge promotes racism rather than dismantling it

In a mission statement posted to the board’s website, it vowed to eliminate racism and systems of inequity, but Florida parents have argued the statement is at odds with their intended goal.

"Your statement is dividing us, and it incites racism," mother of two, Jessica Martinez, told board members Wednesday, according to The Palm Beach Post.

The statement says the board is committed to "dismantling structures rooted in white advantage and transforming our system by hearing and elevating under-represented voices, sharing power, recognizing and eliminating bias, and redistributing resources to provide equitable outcomes."

"Equity, as you are calling it, is a political view and it is racist," Amanda Silvestri told the board. "None of this despicable, political, racist nonsense should be pushed on innocent children and has absolutely no business being taught in schools," she added."

"The American Rescue Plan (ARP) requires school districts to reserve 20 percent of funds for “evidence-based” interventions that “respond to students’ academic, social, and emotional needs”—a very sensible charge. But the devil is in the definition, and the administration’s guidance booklet for spending ARP funds suggests that students’ social and emotional needs include the disruption of “whiteness” and the propagation of Critical Race Theory (CRT) ideology. The “Roadmap to Reopening Safely and Meeting All Students’ Needs” explains that “schools are microcosms of society,” and that therefore “intentional conversations related to race and social emotional learning . . . are the foundation for participating in a democracy and should be anchor tenets in building a schoolwide system of educational opportunity.”

The guidance document links to the Abolitionist Teaching Network’s “Guide for Racial Justice & Abolitionist Social and Emotional Learning.

While parents are still waking up to the reality that Biden’s Department of Education wants to indoctrinate their children, no close observer should be surprised. After all, when Secretary of Education Miguel Cardona served as commissioner of education in Connecticut, he insisted that “we need teachers behind this wave of our curriculum becoming ‘woke.’” When Deputy Secretary of Education Cindy Marten led the San Diego Unified School District, she oversaw teacher training that accused white teachers of “spirit murdering” black students."

Quite the little propaganda machine, aren't you? A fraction of your screed points to individuals in a few school districts across the 50 states doing dumb things....the rest are the usual amalgamation of opinions, suppositions, conjecture, half truths and revisionist rhetoric .... none of which addresses exactly what Critical Race Theory has been about for the last 40 years. Here's an article that pulls the rug out from under your propagandistic pile: The Right Has Chosen Critical Race Theory as Its New Boogeyman to Scare Voters
Well all I need to say is that your utter bullshit is getting deep. BLACK parents are calling this crap out as crap. Maybe one day you’ll actually look at what is trying to be forced on our children.

Critical Race Theory deems every American either a victim or an oppressor.

The truth. White people are the oppressors and all people of color are oppressed. That's the basic message of CRT.

My, but you are full of clichés! How is discussing the documented systemic racism in America "race hustling". See, if you're going to take credit for being in control, then you'll have to take credit for the bad as well as the good.
CRT isn't about discussing anything, its about "decentering whiteness at home". Its all about racism. Read the complete article and learn:

"A new orthodoxy has taken over our educational institutions with frightening speed. People who likely never heard the phrase “critical race theory” (CRT) before this summer are now getting emails from their children’s schools about “Decentering Whiteness at Home.” They are discovering that their children’s elementary-school teacher has read them “a book about whiteness” that teaches them how much “color matters” and encourages them to confront “the painful truth” about their “own family” — i.e., that they are being raised by racists. And that’s just the tip of the iceberg."

What a crock! Nothing more than a regurgitation of right wing rhetoric that purposely misrepresents the subject matter. Here, a primer for your education: The Right Has Chosen Critical Race Theory as Its New Boogeyman to Scare Voters

"...purposely misrepresents the subject matter..."

Let's check:

1. Critical Race Theory, in the definition proposed in the 1993 book Words That Wound, co-authored by Mari Matsuda, Charles Lawrence III, Richard Delgado, and Kimberlè Crenshaw:

"Critical race theory recognizes that racism is endemic to American life. Rather than seeing racism as aberrational, CRT scholars see it as the norm.

Critical race theory expresses skepticism toward dominant legal claims of neutrality, objectivity, color blindness, and meritocracy.

More important, as critical race theorists we adopt a stance that presumes that racism has contributed to all contemporary manifestations of group advantage and disadvantage along racial lines, including differences in income, imprisonment, health, housing, education, political representation, and military service. Our history calls for this presumption….whites must simply defer to the voices of their non-white peers."

2. The simplest rebuttal is this statement of America’s Creed, which is the opposite of CRT.

…the creed embodies “the political principles of liberty, equality, democracy, individualism, human rights, the rule of law, and private property.” Samuel P. Huntington’s Who Are We? The Challenges to America’s National Identity, p.46

3. A detailed and step-wise dismembering of the aberrant anti-humanity Critical Race Theory, by James A. Lindsay, begins here:

“ Critical Race Theory believes racism is present in every aspect of life, every relationship, and every interaction.

…the usual way society does business, the common, everyday experience of most people of color in this country,”

… what they mean by “racism” isn’t even what most people think racism means. It is not prejudice based upon race or believing some races to be superior or inferior to others that they mean by “racism.” It is, instead, the “system” of everything that happens in the social world and beyond that results in any disparity that works in the favor of “racially privileged” groups (on average) or any “racially oppressed” person claiming they experience racial oppression.

… people who take up Critical Race Theory to look for racism in everything until they find it.

In the workplace that adopts Critical Race Theory, this means that it’s only a matter of time until someone with that worldview finds out how your entire company and its culture is “racist.” At that point, they will cause a meltdown that forces everyone to take sides and demand a reorganization of the entire (now divided) office culture and management.

In schools, it will mean teaching our children to think this way and always be looking for racism in every situation and interaction. In our personal relationships, it means that friends and even family members—especially our kids who have already been educated with Critical Race Theory ideas that have been incorporated in our schools—will eventually call each other out and reject one another, because tolerating racism is also considered a form of racism t

hat would have to be discovered and stopped.”

Eight Big Reasons Critical Race Theory Is Terrible for Dealing with Racism

This is the binary system into which the Left has plunged America: to vote Democrat is to endorse Critical Race Theory....,

.....and vice versa.
A. your link doesn't work. Therefore, there is no way to verify what is an actual quote from the book or just more supposition and conjecture from a review.

B. folk like you NEVER see racism as congenital part of the American society and history. Strange that, because the laws that reaffirmed the rights of black folk to send their kids to any school of their choosing is only 4 years older than me, much less voting rights laws that are actually younger than I. Hell, the revered architect of Nassau County in Long Island, NY was DOCUMENTED in creating a road system that made it difficult for people in predominantly black neighborhoods to reach the PUBLIC BEACH. Look it up if you don't believe me. I also point to yearly newspaper coverage of red lining cases before local and federal courts as well as job discrimination. Not to mention legal teams PROVING that black folk are more likely to go to jail for the same crime and with the same personal records than their white counter parts (look to recent cases of black men being released from death row or lengthy prison sentences for crimes they did not commit), you can check ACLU records or a basic google search. And of course you are in denial of the more recent cases of black folk being killed by police who were either innocent or guilty of misdemeanors. You can deny all you want and blow smoke....reality makes a fool of you.

C. your Number 2 point is nothing more than misplaced in light of what I point to in #2, and therefore of no worth to your contention.

D. James Lindsay gives his own version of reality in defining racism and it's part in American society, thus denying the roots of what I refer to in #2.

Once again, you deliver 3rd rate propaganda that though prolific in nature, does not stand up to even the basic of scrutiny. Like it or not, CRT has and is relevant and legitimate in it's premise.

Soooo..... are you a fool or a liar????
tucker Carlson? That highly paid useful idiot?!!? :auiqs.jpg:

My goodness, you're bucking for 4th rate propagandist status now?

Here, for your education (or in your case, for your willful ignorance list):

and as they say, the devil is in the details:

The rational, objective reader will actually read each article thoroughly, and thus see your folly.
You didn't answer my questions. Which political party opposed the 13th, 14th and 15th Amendments granting ex slaves full citizenship rights, which political party used the KKK, and which political party ended slavery?

I am fairly certain I already answered that question. I do support teaching students different theories. (and that would include CRT and ID) Now please, ma'am, answer my question.

Do you support teaching intelligent design theory in public schools?

Which schools teach about the consubstantiation between the aims of the Communist Party and those of the Democrat Party?

Stop lying.
You simply will not answer the question will you? Sorry, you will have to play footsies with yourself. I'm going to go kill some reapers.

Here's the question you keep dodging:

How many is too many???

And I have already answered that question. I said I would have no problem with a class on CRT in any public school that wanted to. Same thing with intelligent design theory. See, they are theories for students to explore. They can use logic, studies, evidence to dispute or support them.

Now, are you ready to FINALLY answer the question? I've answered yours and been polite.

Do you support teaching intelligent design theory in public schools, yes or no.
The problem here is that it is not being taught as a mere theory. It is being taught as irrefutable fact, and the children are ground under the jack boots of the Stalinists forcing it on them OR ELSE.

The children are given no choice BUT to submit to it.

He knows that. That is why he wants it done. To make sure that every child is brainwashed to be a good little leftie.
Yep.

If it was taught AS a theory, and restricted to Junior or or Senior level A.P. classes where intelligent 16-18 year Olds were actually allowed to deconstruct it without penalty, that would be one thing.

Aiming it at younger children, however, is nothing but indoctrination, especially as they are not allowed to voice sensible opinions on the subject without retribution.
Nothing wrong with teaching younger kids about the insidious nature of racism. Things that you think are CRT probably aren't. CRT itself, I agreeh should be reserved for middle and High School age students. Same applies to intelligent design theory.

"Nothing wrong with teaching younger kids about the insidious nature of racism."

1. The Democrats are, and have always been, the party of slavery, segregation, and second-class citizenship, the party that stood in schoolhouse doors to block black school children….until Republicans sent in the 101st airborne

2. It is the party of Jefferson Davis, of Nathan Bedford Forrest and the Knights of the KKK, Planned Parenthood, concentration camps for American citizens, and restrictions on free speech.

3. It is the party of Mao ornaments on the White House Christmas tree, and of James Hodgkinson, and of Communist Bernie Sanders, of pretend genders.

4. The Democrat Party is the oldest racist organization in America, the trail of tears, the author of Jim Crow and the bigotry of low expectations, filibustered against women getting the vote and killed every anti-lynching bill to get to Congress

5. The Democrat Party is the number one funder of the Islamic Revolution in Tehran….to the tune of $100 billion to the Ayatollahs….and gave Hezbollah the go-ahead to sell cocaine in America.

6. It is the party of anti-Semitism and Louis Farrakhan, and of the first Cabinet member ever to be held in contempt of Congress.

7. It is the party that admits its future depends on flooding the country with illegal aliens, and telling them to vote.

8. It is the party that couldn't suck up to the Castro Brothers enough, and treats the Bill of Rights like a Chinese menu..

9. The Democrats got us into the Civil War…Jefferson Davis .... Woodrow Wilson, WWI….FDR, WWII……Truman, Korean War….VietNam, JFK and LBJ…..yet they want to weaken our military.

10. The Democrats are the party that looks at the mayhem their gun laws have produced in Chicago, ……and this is their model for the nation.

11. I should mention that the Democrat Party was used as a model by Adolph Hitler and the Nazi Party….another ‘feather’ in the party’s cap?

12. The Democrat Party is now running on full-blown anti-white racism.

13. It's the party of felons over law-abiding actual citizens

14. No shared values, not an American party…they oppose free speech, the second amendment, and the free practice of one’s religion.

15. Recent development prove the Democrats to be, as well, the party of rioters, arsonists, murderers, and anarchists.

Democrats: Bull Connor, George Wallace, Orval Faubus, Lester Maddox, Al Gore, Sr., Bill Clinton….all racists, all Democrats.

Cops: Leaders Of Philly Mosque Tried To Cut Off Man’s Hand With Machete

PHILADELPHIA (CBS) — Two leaders of a mosque tried to cut off the hand of a man they allege stole jars of money from the house of worship, Philadelphia police said.

The bizarre incident happened July 14th at the Masjid located in the 1100 block of North 63rd Street in the city’s Overbrook section.

According to investigators, the 46-year-old arrived at the mosque at about 4:00 a.m. for Morning Prayer services.

At about 5:30 a.m., after the prayer service concluded, police say the victim was approached by the mosque’s Imam and the Amir.

Investigators say the two males accused the victim of stealing jars of money from the Masjid.

The males, police say, dragged the victim to the rear of the property and attempted to cut off his hand with a machete.

The victim sustained a severe laceration to his right wrist and was transported to Mercy Hospital by medics.

"NYC’s Muslim Community Patrol to enforce the “fundamentals of the Sharia”
..., the sight of official-looking cars – made to look like police New York City cars — emblazoned with the words “Muslim Community Patrol” cruising the avenues of Brooklyn and Staten Island—in the United States of America—was quick to generate news coverage, commentary and alarm.

Most of the mainstream American media reacted in typical fashion. Ever fearful of offending radicalized Muslim communities or digging too deeply into unsavory truths, they gushed in glowing news reports about the new patrol cars and portrayed them as a “neighborhood watch” for Muslim-dominated areas.

Brooklyn Borough President Eric Adams said the Muslim patrol units would help keep the city safe and vowed that his administration would help organizers acquire more police-style cars and equipment.

“We believe we need to do more to assist them,” he told NY1 News.

Yet, a little digging shows that the Muslim Community Patrol has an underlying agenda: to enforce Islamic sharia law first in the Muslim community and then in American community at large….

This is where things got interesting. He went on to say that the patrol presence was needed not just for protecting mosques, but also to stop people— Muslim people, in particular—from doing what was harmful and what the Quran considers haram, or forbidden, for Muslims.

Abdul remembered Wahhaj saying, “The mosques need protection and the MCP cars can help stop people who were not following the rules and regulations of the sharia, doing what they’re not supposed to be doing, but still doing it.”

That is, they were there to physically enforce “laws” that were not U.S. or New York laws."

“Muhammad Masood is a former research coordinator at the Mayo Clinic, and so he could have been spending his time trying to find a cure for coronavirus. Instead, however, he decided to direct his attention to matters that he thought would be more pleasing to Allah. He wrote: “i want to kill and get killed … and kill and get killed,” and now he has been arrested on a terrorism-related charge.

Meanwhile, Masood was in the United States on a work visa. When he applied for that visa, did anyone make any attempt whatsoever to determine his sentiments regarding jihad against unbelievers? Did they make any effort to discover how devout he was in his observance of Islam? Of course they didn’t; such inquiries would have landed the inquirer in hot water as “Islamophobic,” despite the close correlation between devoutness in Islam and terror activity: not all devout Muslims are terrorists or terror sympathizers, but all Islamic terrorists and Islamic terror sympathizers are devout Muslims.” Minnesota: Muslim Migrant Physician Pledges Allegiance to ISIS

What you do here is prove the point.....an OPINION piece that treats it's own supposition and conjecture as conclusive fact (which, as history showed, was wholly inaccurate), and then to point to the VERY FEW crimes in America done by jokers who were of the muslim faith as indicative of ALL Islamic tenets and believers/practicers (which again, history shows to be inaccurate).

Critical Race Theory deems every American either a victim or an oppressor.

The Democrat Party supports this blasphemy being saddled on every school child.

Is this your view as well?
Your first sentence is a lie, given that you have no proof outside of your own opinion and OP Ed pieces by right wing wonks. Neither of you can point to any direct quote from the original thesis papers to substantiate your lame propaganda. Let me know when you can.
The truth. White people are the oppressors and all people of color are oppressed. That's the basic message of CRT.
No, the basic message is that one cannot ignore or minimize the effects of systemic racism in America. It just so happens that "white" folk have been in charge since the country's "founding". So if you're in charge, you damn sure take responsibility for your mistakes as well as your achievements. At least that's what the nuns taught me from grades 1-12.

Since you're an American history scholar, tell us which political party freed the slaves, which political party opposed the 13th, 14th and 15 Amendments, and which political party used the KKK.
Since you're a right wing wonk that always avoid conceding a previous point by trying to detour, you might want to look into Nixon and the Southern Strategy as a primer. Also, look up the phrases "Dixie-crats" and "Blue Dog Democrats". Get back to me when you're up to speed, then we can actually discuss my previous response to your favorite 3rd rate propagandist Political Chic.

Since critical theory in general is based on no absolute truth, it is antichrist. This would eliminate God. For God's truth is absolute. Any Critical <blank> Theory is false and we should all fight against such crap. That is why it is called THEORY and not truth.

I understand that your side is willing to sacrifice

TOTAL ABORTIONS SINCE 1973:
59,115,995

Based on numbers reported by the Guttmacher Institute 1973-2014, with projections of 926,190 for 2015-16. GI estimates a possible 3 percent under reporting rate, which is factored into the overall total. [1/17]

How many are you ready to sacrifice to this abomination, Critical Race Theory.....????????

How many is too many????
How many times are you going to trot out the SOS? Bottom line: all you've done is just MINUTE expansion of your previous bilge, which I aptly reviewed. That's the problem with you 3rd rate propagandists...very prolific but unable to aptly stand up to scrutiny. Case in point: ‘Held hostage’: How critical race theory moved from Fox News to school boards

The definitive reality check:

It sure isn't education. It's race hustling and deliberately trying to establish hateful divisions. It's sick and evil.
