I'm pretty sure that I understand what a conservative is. It's also a given that we've all seen the results of conservative government. Disasterous. We simply can't afford a repeat.

That's the problem that the GOP has. All that they have to offer is what Rush and Rupert can sell. What we have indisputable experience with is that none of what they can sell works in real life.
