Clinton and the Dems presented the President with the following options.

#1 - Trump could accept that he was framed by the deep state for a crime he didn't commit and go away quietly.

#2 - Trump could decide to fight the deep state and claim his innocence. In that case, the deep state would take him down for attempting to obstruct option #1.

Trump took #2. I think he made the right choice. I am betting many of those that ran against him in 2016 would have taken option #1 and ran.

The big mystery still remains. If even thinking about firing Mueller, but not going through with it in the end, is enough for a prosecutable obstruction of justice charge, how could deleting 33,000 e-mails, destroying your devices with a hammer and wiping your illegally set up private server be considered actions no reasonable prosecutor would pursue?

AG Barr knows Mueller failed to follow the Special Prosecutor rules, which is WHY he along with Rosenstein decided that there was insufficient evidence of Obstruction, which Mueller was supposed to do. I posted this in THIS THREAD, repeated here:

Mueller punted on it, which is WHY Barr and Rosenstein made the decision based on the feeble evidence that there was no Obstruction. It is clear Mueller KNEW there was no clear evidence of Obstruction, which is why he decided to force the Attorney General to make the decision FOR HIM. Here is what he said on WHY the AG and not Mueller (who was supposed to make the determination) along with deputy ag, Rosenstein that there was no obstruction of justice. The Federalist showed here why AG did it:
