How is the FBI going to investigate this in 11 days? This will linger well after the election. This is why liberals on the news networks are so upset. There will be no answer before the election.

Perhaps....but I doubt it. The FBI MUST state that there is something or nothing new in the next couple of days. You can't just pee in the pool and then walk away with 11 days before election casting a cloud without substance.

If all else fails, Hillary will play the "victim" of yet another witch-hunt.

I agree. He did the right thing.

That said, I don't expect we see this move the polls more than a point or two. Clinton's emails have been talked about at length. Wikileaks is all about this. This story literally has never left the dialogue and for a lot of voters it never ever ended. So it's kinda baked in to the polls right now.

Unlike Trump that has kept the sexual predator story alive because of his thin skin and big mouth, Clinton will probably still concentrate on policy issues and when asked about these emails, she'll claim victim status of unsubstantiated republicans' constant accusations.

In the Friday memo to his employees, Comey acknowledged that the FBI does not yet know the import of the newly discovered emails. “Given that we don’t know the significance of this newly discovered collection of emails, I don’t want to create a misleading impression,” Comey wrote.

An official familiar with Comey’s thinking said that “he felt he had no choice.”
“What would it look like if the FBI inadvertently came across additional emails that appear to be relevant to the Clinton investigation and not at least inform the Oversight Committee that this occurred?” the official said. “What would be the criticism then? That the FBI hid it? That the FBI purposely kept this information to themselves?”

The official said the decision came down to which choice “was not as bad as the others.”

Comey’s action has been blasted by some former Justice Department officials, Clinton campaign officials and Democratic members of Congress.

“Without knowing how many emails are involved, who wrote them, when they were written or their subject matter, it’s impossible to make any informed judgment on this development,” said Sen. Dianne Feinstein (D-Calif.), who called the release “appalling.”

So far, there is no apparently on-going investigation with anything to report. There is only possession of another source of information about the other tens of thousands of documents. There had been a previously reported matter which had come to the attention of the Oversight Committee. Maybe or maybe not there are additional relevant emails.
