Maybe the Coincidence cause of sniffing and coughing is a real one .

People see others making these strange upper body signals and they unconsciously mimic them .Our primate brain response system .

Considerable benefits seem likely if people wore ear plugs and dark glasses .
Feel sure that coughing and sneezing could be reduced by around 80% .

Of course there will still be a few attention seekers who will try to impress with their dirty habits .
