The latest house passes resolution condemning bigotry

this should be interesting

If Ilhan Omar were a Republican, the media would be demanding she address her endorsement by David Duke

David Duke issued a series of tweets today saying that freshman Rep. Ilhan Omar’s stringof obviously anti-Semitic statements and actions make her “the most important member of the U.S. Congress.” Duke, whose 50-year history as a Nazi sympathizer and former KKK leader is well-documented, meant it as high praise.

Every time Duke speaks up in favor of a Republican, the media falls all over itself demanding that that Republican and all associated with him not only renounce Duke but also defend themselves for having done or said anything of which Duke approves. Sometimes, the demands are even semi-valid: Donald Trump, for example, had repeatedly retweeted posts from publicly self-identified white supremacists and praised marchers in a white supremacist mob that included Duke.

I was just about to give this post a WINNER, until I read the part about Trump praising marchers in a white supremacist mob.

First of all, the marchers who appeared to be white supremacists, were never identified. As far as anyone knows, they may have been 90% agent provocateur Democrats.

Secondly, Trump was right, that there were many in the march who were simply protesting the removal of a statue of Robert E. Lee, and doing it legally (in contrast to the counterprotestors who were illegally blocking the street, and the march, and who caused rioting). I see nothing wrong with what Trump said.

Wow.. You seem to be a little twisted...

When is the last time you were oppressed by Jews?

Get this: The resolution singles out white people, but doesn't say much in the way of how they should be protected against bigotry..

"Whereas white supremacists in the United States have ex-
ploited and continue to exploit bigotry and weaponize
hate for political gain, targeting traditionally persecuted
peoples, including African Americans, Latinos, Native
Americans, Asian Americans and Pacific Islanders and
other people of color, Jews, Muslims, Hindus, Sikhs, the
LGBTQ community, immigrants, and others with verbal
attacks, incitement, and violence"

"Whereas on August 11 and 12, 2017, self-identified neo-Con-
federates, white nationalists, neo-Nazis, and Ku Klux
Klansmen held white supremacist events in Charlottes-
ville, Virginia, where they marched on a synagogue under
the Nazi swastika, engaged in racist and anti-Semitic
demonstrations and committed brutal and deadly violence
against peaceful Americans;"

I don't think it even addresses the issue of Islamic antisemitism. :laughing0301:

They only got one drum, so they bang it loud and proud.

The Dem House are real legislative dynamos'.

The politically correct roosters have come home to roost. The left is effectively paralyzed with fear of being painted as bigots and are now at the mercy of the numerous protected classes that they have
stupidly enshrined as sacrosanct for the purposes of political expediency. Everything comes with a price....in this case the deal that they made with the devil is about to bite them in the ass.

I feel so much better now that this meaningless bullshit has passed.
Antrisemitism is meaningless?

lol

No, Congressional denouncements are meaningless. It’s feel good nonsense that doesn’t really do anything. Sort of like the recent anti-lynching bill. Perhaps this theater makes you sleep better at night, but it just makes me chuckle.

"Omar and her colleague from Michigan, Rashida Tlaib—along with activists such as Linda Sarsour, who helped lead the national Women’s March—have emerged as visible symbols of American progressivism. These leaders are pushing a vision of the Democratic Party as the unambiguous champion of the marginalized. Several 2020 Democratic presidential candidates, including Bernie Sanders, Kamala Harris, and Elizabeth Warren, have expressed their support for Omar."

Champions of the Marginalized.....
But they forgot one thing....the Marginalized are also the impoverished.

Wonder if the House leaders spoke to them about their bigotry??

Anyone holding their breath??

Yeah governments do stupid crap like this to affirm a consensus on an issue and it is purelyt symbolic of what their consensus is.

We no longer have a consensus that anti-semitism is wrong and should be denounced in public unless a white guy said it.

The State department goes through long gyrations of meeting and discussions that stretch over weeks all to send a letter of demarche to some illiterate Third World dictator.
