This is what America has come to.
Newton, 49, who won an Emmy for âWestworldâ in 2019 and a Screen Actors Guild Award for her role in the 2006 movie Crash, has been wracked with guilt over the years because she believes she hasnât done enough to represent darker-hued women.
âItâs been very painful to have women who look like my mom feel like Iâm not representing them,â she admitted during a promotional interview for Godâs Country that premiered at the Sundance Film Festival in January. âThat Iâm taking from them, taking their men, taking their work, taking their truth.â
.... my internalized prejudice was stopping me from feeling like I could play this role,â Newton explained. âWhen itâs precisely that prejudice that Iâve received, it doesnât matter that itâs from African American women more than anyone else. I received prejudice. Anyone whoâs received oppression and prejudice feels this character.â
âIâve wanted so desperately to apologize every day to darker-skinned actresses. To say, âIâm sorry that Iâm the one chosen.â My mama looks like you.â
After all.....she need take responsibility for her skin color!!!!!!
Can you spell "psychosis"?????
Can you identify the party responsible for this insanity????
