The Oregon case. Now that the Supreme Court has cleared the way for cities to enforce bans on homeless camps, will blue cities act?

They've now lost the excuse that they are legally prevented from doing anything about homeless people taking over public spaces, so will they act? Or will they continue to allow the toxic filth and garbage to pile up in spaces like parks, sidewalks, park strips etc? I'm betting it's the latter.

Many homeless have mental health problems. Nice of you to label them as "filth".

Where are you gonna put these people?

SC(r)OTUS just criminalized poverty.

"Christian values" at work.

The court cowardly ruled. They do this often. They noted that bans can be enacted but Gorsuch notes that they aren't necessarily even enforceable.

He suggested that people who have no choice but to sleep outdoors could raise that as a “necessity defense,” if they are ticketed or otherwise punished for violating a camping ban.

And how do you expect that to work out for them in the red districts that already wanted them out?

Not well, is my thought.

not sure weather its cruel or unusual for a government to fine and jail it's citizens over an issue they created here......~S~

If the derelicts are sober and/or not drug addicts then herd them into camps far away from the city
