Why should I have to pay for the endless businesses that will fail and the resulting loss of revenue? Why should we all have to pay for over 30 million on unemployment? Why should I have to pay for endless debt not created by me? Or the 30 thousand who die every year due to intoxicated drivers? Or the idiots overdosing. Or even careless drivers and speeders.

The agencies claim that respiratory droplets sustained in the air can infect healthy people, but WHO admits it is “assessing ongoing research on the ways that COVID-19 is spread and will continue to share updated findings.” Scientists are also unsure about surface-to-human transmission.

That’s hardly the sort of settled science that justifies the abrupt and costly disruption to the American way of life wrought by social distancing.

For starters, you took the upper limit of the 95% CI for people who died from influenza in 2017-2018. Not very honest. You could have said 46,000 died in 2017-2017 and been equally as accurate. The actual estimate is 61,000. Still, an unusually high number.

We lost 70,000 to COVID in 6 weeks (not a full year as you are quoting) and that’s WITH extreme measures to slow it down.

Yea it does take an autopsy to determine cause of death. A woman was hit by a truck and her head was severed in the accident, the truck driver said she cut him off deliberately. The ambulance crew declared her dead at the scene as no autopsy was needed to determine that her head was severed in the accident causing death. However an autopsy determined that the woman was both drunk over the limit and under the influence of PCP so the cause of death was listed as drug related at which time all the charges against the truck driver were dropped.
