The reason why Trump is smarter than The CDC.

Should Trump ever do his job the politics would melt away.
Trump is doing his job and you have melted yet
He had a "coronavirus task force" briefing yesterday. Name one policy initiative he spoke of. Name one bit of news he revealed. Where was Dr. Birx? Dr. Fauci? The Surgeon General?

Why no standardized real time testing on a national scale? Why did he call for testing to be slowed down?

Where are the standards for safe school reopening? Where is a national mask mandate? Why are States competing for test kits?

If he has been doing his job, what, pray tell, has he been doing? He cares more about confederate flags and monuments than the health and safety of the American people!

He called the pandemic a hoax. He has belittled reporters for wearing masks. He thinks Lysol could be injected as a treatment.

And 68% of Americans disapprove of his handling of this pandemic.

For trump it appears to be political and that is counter to science in general and always has been in the history of science.
Its clearly political for the trump haters

so trump has to be political too

Too late. Just as it is too late to change what Cuomo is responsible for.
No new cases reported in New York this week. Paging Gov. DeSantis!

A drug that has been used for decades is now deemed "dangerous". Funny how that happened all-of-a-sudden like, innit?
All-of-a-sudden? What's funny is that you think that any drug being labelled potentially dangerous is something new! That's one of the first lessons medical professionals learn.
"Potentially dangerous" after being used for decades as a prophylactic for international travelers? Go peddle your know-nothing bullshit to someone dumb enough to buy it.
All drugs are potentially dangerous, if they're used incorrectly. Only the real "Know Nothings" would dispute that and no M.D. worth their salt would. Hydroxychloroquine may have some effect, but it is in no way the "miracle drug" some have touted. The worst thing that could come of this is that some more promising drug got shelved because money for research has dried up on the news that a "cure" had been found. We'll never really know, but it's the danger we face when we have a leader that thinks he's a genius and doesn't listen to the people that know the real deal.

You can say that about fucking aspirin.....Fact is that Hydroxychloroquine is safe and has in fact helped people get over the Commievirus....This tends to piss off chunkhead haters like you who reflexively recoil at anything that the God Emperor says or dose.

Now go wash your f hands and put your mask on.

Everyone is looking for and hoping for effective treatment. Hydroxichlororoquine just isn't one of them. The science, as it turns out, is smarter than Trump. Hell! Even my spellingmofmhydroxichloroquine is smarter than Trump!

My question is, why do you trust a reality TV game show host over medical experts? You can't fire a pandemic.

It is NOT a safe drug. There are all kinds of warnings attached to it and there always have been. As with all drugs, if you're taking it because you'll die without it, you take the drug regardless of the side effects. My sister has a medical condition which requires she take this drug, and she couldn't get ANY because Trump had cornered the market.

At the same news conference where he embraced hydroxychloroquine as a treatment, Trump mentioned and dismissed Remdesivir as a potential treatment. Remdesivir has since been proven to increase your chances of survival by nearly 30% if you're on a ventilator and has been embraced by the scientists, the public AND Donald Trump and no one has said a negative word about that embrace.

Trump promoted hydroxychloroquine because his friend, who owns a drug company which produces the drug, was on FOX News promoting it, not because there was ANY scientific evidence that it helped. The left dismissed Trump's claims because there was NO SCIENTIFIC EVIDENCE to support it and for no other reason.

Subsequent events have proven Trump wrong and the scientists and those on the left who said it should not be promoted until it has been proven, were right.

Only idiots jumped on Trump's bandwagon, and some of those who did, died because of it, and worse, VA hospitals put their patients on it and killed something like 25% of the patients they used it on. The results at VA hospitals so upset the doctors that they stopped using it and spread the word about it. Trump's response was to fire the whistle blowers.

They do say that about aspirin. In some people and at higher doses internal bleeding can be a result. You really should do some research before posting whatever BS comes to mind.

No drug is safe. There are "all kinds of warnings" attached to 100% of them. Pay attention much?

Trump isn’t a doctor, he just plays one on TWITTER!
He was right about the malaria drug and the cdc was wrong
No. He wasn't, as it is far from proven. There have been gobs of reports around the world, disputing the claim. Here are just a few:

Hydroxychloroquine: Europe Turns Away From Doctor Who Championed Drug With ‘Irresponsible’ Study
Forbes, July 19, 2020
The results from two new drug trials have failed to find evidence that hydroxychloroquine works to treat Covid-19. And a new peer review by one of Europe’s top doctors has found the study conducted by French professor Raoult–advocate of hydroxychloroquine–was “irresponsible.” It appears that Europe is turning its back on the drug’s champion.

Second U Of M Study Determines Hydroxychloroquine Does Not Treat COVID-19 Symptoms
Hydroxychloroquine is a commonly used anti-malaria drug, which has been promoted by President Donald Trump, despite the scientific evidence which proves its ineffectiveness.

New Studies Clarify What Drugs Help, Hurt for COVID-19
The same Oxford study also tested hydroxychloroquine in a rigorous manner and researchers previously said it did not help hospitalized patients with COVID-19. After 28 days, about 25.7% on hydroxychloroquine had died versus 23.5% given usual care -- a difference so small it could have occurred by chance.
Fake news.

The use and purpose of Hydroxychloroquine is to suppress the immune system.
Covid-19 it only dangerous if it stimulates an over response from the immune system.
So Hydroxychloroquine has to be useful whenever covid-19 has caused an over immune response.
If nothing else, Hydroxychloroquine is very good at reducing fevers.

But it is not good as a prophylactic.
It is only good in some cases, when they start getting out of control.
