The threat being made against our religious liberties

The line has been blurred over religion in republican congresses' all over the US.

The Potus attends mass every Sunday but he choses secular law to rule by, with empathy & compassion.

When "Christians" start bitching about religious liberties they are usually bitching that Americans are allowed to push back against their narrow political agenda.
Not quite. It's a response to an attack by militant atheists who are trying to subordinate religion and faith in God so that they can implement their morally relativistic social policies.

Socialism intentionally denies examination because it is irrational. There is no formal defined dogma of socialism. Instead there is only a vague, rosy notion of something good, noble and just: the advent of these things will bring instant euphoria and a social order beyond reproach. Socialism seeks equality through uniformity and communal ownership Socialism has an extraordinary ability to incite and inflame its adherents and inspire social movements. Socialists dismiss their defeats and ignore their incongruities. They desire big government and use big government to implement their morally relativistic social policies. Socialism is a religion.

The religious nature of socialism explains their hostility towards traditional religions which is that of one rival religion over another.
Their dogma is based on materialism, primitive instincts, atheism and the deification of man. They see no distinction between good and evil, no morality or any other kind of value, save pleasure. They practice moral relativity, indiscriminate indiscriminateness, multiculturalism, cultural Marxism and normalization of deviance. They worship science but are the first to reject it when it suits their purposes. They can be identified by an external locus of control.

Their religious doctrine is abolition of private property, abolition of family, abolition of religion and equality via uniformity and communal ownership. They practice critical theory which is the Cultural Marxist theory to criticize what they do not believe to arrive at what they do believe without ever having to examine what they believe. They confuse critical theory for critical thinking. Critical thinking is the practice of challenging what one does believe to test its validity. Something they never do.

Scofield and futurism of Hal Lindsey aren't traditional religion. Where is this socialism you are describing?

Think of everything "Christians" would ban tomorrow if they had their way. Their PG 13 vision of what the world should be like is as realistic as a Hallmark channel movie and almost entirely unconstitutional.
Like what? Child pornography maybe? Is the world a better place for that?
Don't be ridiculous. Just to be able to buy booze on Sunday or anywhere was a hard-fought battle across the South. Practically everything adults do for fun is heavily taxed and regulated for no other reason than "Christian" types demand there be some kind of legal or financial disincentive to sin.
You're not living in 2021?
So you feel it would be ridiculous to end child pornography? You probably want prostitution legalized because it's such a healthy, wholesome activity. I mean, doesn't everyone want their kid to grow up and become a prostitute?
You're mad because cigarettes are heavily taxed? It's not a "sin" tax. Tobacco and alcohol related health issues are a big cost to the nation, not to mention the drunk driving accidents and fatalities.
So just how are Christians spoiling your fun?
It's ridiculous that you constructed a strawman like that. There has never been any child porn advocates in America. At least pick something that had some real political fighting on both sides of the issue.
Says the poster creating numerous strawmen to fight with. LOL.
On this topic I am making the case that Christians are fond of trying to legally ban sin, constitution be damned. Do you disagree?
You can't do it without creating your strawmen as well, but I digress.

Your fear of Christianity is noted. Do you feel that YOUR version of America shouldn't allow Christian's space to live and practice their religion in Peace ????? The Christian's are the same in America as they always were, but it's the left that is attempting to back them into a corner, and not the other way around. Until the streets are made completely Godless by the left, then the leftist war will continue to attempt to gain more and more ground.
The callous nature and bigoted politics of today's right wing "Christians" has done more to drive people away from religion than any militant atheist could ever hope to accomplish. It's why I left after practically being raised in church. It wasn't liberal indoctrination, it was "Christians" rationalizing their way out of doing what Jesus told them to do.
What church were you raised in?

Do you believe the Bible is the Word of God?

Do you believe the Bible is the Word of God?
For a start. More accurately, it relates encounters with God and His ways. It is a story of mankind and how he relates to God. (For atheists, how mankind relates to goodness.)

So god drowning all of mankind is "goodness"? Should I be getting a warm and fuzzy feeling about that story?

Depends on what you mean by that. The bible is only as good as the purpose men use it for. I see far too many "Christians" searching through the old testament for escape clauses to get out of doing what Jesus said. It's not supposed to work that way as far as I am concerned. The bible is a tool that can do great deeds or put people at each other's throats. Way too much of the latter these days.

I long ago abandoned all faith in the mysticism and miracles presented in the bible. Jesus was a sufficiently remarkable person without trying to turn him into a God. The new testament was written by men who were trying to found a religion, it's natural that they would punch it up some. As I see it Jesus tried to make the case that true religion is practiced when we feed the hungry, heal the sick and protect the downtrodden. I feel the mysticism and the threat of everlasting damnation clouds this message.

The callous nature, and bigoted politic's of today's Democrat's, has done more to drive people towards Christianity, and towards conservatism than any other militant group or activist could have persuaded them to do so in the complete opposite. So you fell off the Christian wagon eh ?? God only knows why, so keep it to yourself as we could care less why you fell. Keep pushing the Christian's into a corner though, and your party will find itself isolated big time. You are of the minority in this country, and that's why we've seen your Democrat party with the huge help of the MSM relying heavily upon it's desperation in order to achieve it's goals, otherwise while working against the grain or because of it.

the true face of christianity. sure they have been in the majority - for centuries - and look at them when they are backed into the wall - truly the true terrorist the world has never really cared for.

* not to mention, of course - christians lost the presidency and senate and now are relying on nefarious judges for their meal ticket.
