The Time Trump Faced Death In A Horrifying Helicopter Ride

It was Nate Holden...

The man who almost crashed in a helicopter with Donald Trump told POLITICO Trump confused him with former San Francisco Mayor Willie Brown — despite the former president’s repeated insistence it was Brown.

It was Nate Holden, a former city councilman and state senator from Los Angeles, who said in an exclusive interview late Friday that he remembers the near-death experience well. He and others believe it happened sometime in 1990.

“Willie is the short Black guy living in San Francisco,” Holden said. “I’m a tall Black guy living in Los Angeles.

“I guess we all look alike,” Holden told POLITICO, letting out a loud laugh...

Also aboard was Trump’s late brother, Robert, the attorney Harvey Freedman and Barbara Res, Trump’s former executive vice president of construction and development. Res told POLITICO on Friday that she also remembers the ride well. In fact, she said she wrote about it in her book, “All Alone on the 68th Floor.”

Res remembers Brown, too. He took a liking to her, and she brought him a hat from the superyacht the Trump Princess, which she says he loved. But the man on the helicopter was definitely Nate Holden, she said.

That Time Trump Nearly Died in a Helicopter Crash? Didn’t Happen.

In a news conference, the former president recounted a brush with death alongside Willie Brown, the former San Francisco mayor. A few aspects of the story don’t hold up to scrutiny.

The man's cognitive issues are getting worse by the day. Each time he speaks publicly lately he goes off into some imaginary universe that only he knows things about. Like Jerry Brown being a black man.

Former President Donald J. Trump told a jaw-dropping story on Thursday about nearly dying in a helicopter ride with Willie Brown, the former California politician and ex-boyfriend of his rival, Vice President Kamala Harris.

There was only one problem with the story. Or maybe two. Or maybe three.

It wasn’t the famous former San Francisco mayor on the helicopter flight at all. It was Gov. Jerry Brown, the former governor of California, who bears little resemblance to Willie Brown.

There was also no emergency landing, and the helicopter’s passengers were never in any danger at all, according to Gov. Gavin Newsom, who was also on the flight.

Jerry Brown, who left office in January 2019, said through a spokesman, “There was no emergency landing and no discussion of Kamala Harris.”

what a great OP

LOL, the NYT article is so ridiculous. Completely made up story, based upon erroneous assumptions.

Trump was talking about Willie and Kamala. He did not confuse Jerry with Willie.

Also, on November 17, 2018, the date of the Trump/Newsom/Brown helicopter ride, they were flying in Marine One! If Marine One had a hard landing, we would have heard about it.

Trump was obviously discussing a different helicopter ride with Willie Brown from long ago.

Y'all continue to fall for Fake News. Your TDS allows you to believe anything!

Willy Brown said it NEVER happened. He was never in a helicopter with Donald Trump. And he NEVER discussed Kamala Harris with Donald Trump - nor would he.

Marine One is stationed at Quatico, Va, and was not in California at ANY time during the Trump Administration. Both Jerry Brown and Gavin Newsome have confirmed that trip with Trump, and that Trump was frightened they would crash the whole time, although they were never in danger.
