We didn't vote for a preacher, we voted for someone who would shake the hell out to the status quo. That's exactly what we got, stop trying to paint it as something else. You should take your discussion on theology to the religion board.

I think this accurate, people that gravitate to a cult need a messianic figure, a father figure, that promises to protect them and make it all better. That 80% of 'evangelicals' voted for Trump has betrayed them as not Christian. They've finally shown out in the open they will support anyone, no matter how vile and immoral, as long as they get what they want.

The very reason the founding fathers knew there had to be a separation between church and state. They had witnessed centuries of the church and state colluding to repress the masses. We now see it on full display in the US. Trump uses them and they in turn get what they want. Just as it worked in Europe for hundreds of years.
