Zone1 The Uber files show capitalism at its worse

I think that there is a lot more to come out of this and many of our leading politicians will be implicated.

But I dont suppose tht Uber is an outlier. There are other corporations who trample over local laws and use corrupt politicians in order to make more money.

Should corporations be limited in size ao that they are not a threat to the general welfare ?
What capitalism?... there is no more capitalism in the USA or anywhere else....

Look at Zelle.. and they're owned by the banks.

In Canada I wouldn't be surprised if the police worked WITH Uber to betray laws. On the hush hush of course.

This is why Canada remains and will remain a horse and buggy economy with "human rights" stuck in the 1920s...

So to you, if a priest molests a child, that's what Catholicism is, molesting boys.

So by your reasoning, if a Democrat robs a bank, then the Democrat Party is about robbing banks.

Um, sure, Cowboy.

On another subject, I apologize for the insults you quoted. I forgot where I was. I realized and deleted them, but you had already quoted me.
I think you are using straw men here. Historiically we see that large corporations will harm all of us if left unchecked.

In the United States the conservative courts are working to turn the clock back to the 18th Century limiting or eliminating appropriate, warranted government oversite of such businesses, exposing the public to fraud and abuse.

Crony capitalism is socialism, not capitalism. Capitalism is free markets, not "corporations." Democrats just have the oddest obsession with making up your own definitions of capitalism as if that's an argument

Sure, there are politicians that are corrupt, in this country we call them Democrats and Republicans and we keep voting them back into office. Capitalism is about private enterprises doing anything illegal. Last I heard bribbing is illegal, of course it may be okay in your country, I'm not sure.

Definitely break up Meta, Amazon, Google. AWS should be a public benefit corp for all Americans regardless of their political affiliation
Lol, it does not end with those companies. Many other monopolies exist just hidden under multiple names. The funny thing is laws already exist to stop this sort of thing they just are not enforced. Free market economy? Lol not where we live. Competition is already dead. Even food is monopolized. We be already ducked with an f in front.

You need to define what "free market" looks like. My observation i that it is the law of the jungle.

I have seen companies brought down by rich competitors giving away their products for free. That is the free market and is a conspiracy against the consumer.

Money woorks its way around people. I beleive that Sinema and manchin have gown rich on corporate donations.
Boebert just spent $4m on her campaign. Truth and integrity gets lost in such a system.
