What "secret facilities" do you think they need to safe guard that are going to less secret after a three and a half week delay? Lindsay Graham’s banking deregulation was still the law of the land - that’s the deregulation which lead to the subprime mortgage collapse.

The nation was still involved in wars in Iraq and Afghanistan. Wars that cost billions of dollars and gained you nothing.

Interest rates were still way too low. W pushed the fed to keep interest rates low to encourage home ownership, and keep the stock market up.
