It's really quite Orwellian, isn't it

The Stalinists employ a caste system based upon tribal identity, and along with certain identities come certain privileges. That is why so many try to claim a particular identity in that they are seeking the priviliges that come along with it. Once they lay claim to the identity they can say anything they want as anybody who opposes them is then cast as a racist, bigot, homophobe, transprobe or any of a number of cheap ruses that limit the expression of certain ideas as verbotten because they have been recast as attacks on the person rather than the ideas they express.
