This Sheriff's bravery against an idiotic judge is sure to be saving lives and preventing more victims.

The 1800 inmates that remain are serious offenders and the sheriff has already released 1400 inmates who are low-level offenders. He is simply protecting the public as is his mission according to the California constitution, I believe. My view is that the police are our best defense against crime in our country and to defund or otherwise inhibit their ability to serve and protect because of a few bad eggs
is a lousy idea and will come back to bite us in the ass. And the "bad eggs" are only a few. Some of those cops who overreacted were verbally abused by those who were killed or beaten up. Police are people also and have the right and duty to protect themselves when they feel threatened. Sometimes a quick response is warranted due to the perceived threat.
