Did you just post a link with Jon Stewart the comedian?
Come on man. If you want to play along with the ruse then at least have legitimate information by sources who are transparent.

You think everything that comes out of syria is CGI and life is beautiful there? You think everyone is lying about what I happening to them andaround them?
If you want to use twitter, facebook, etc. there are lot of sources to compare from across the country. Add up the numbers. Look at the images. Compare them to news agencies from around the world coming out of there. Books, documents, official reports.............

There is disinformation out there but if you read enough you will learn which sites to stay away from. If you know enough about syria and the middle east you find when sites are full of BS.
To add to to the above post.
I do sympathize with the people suffering but until they evolve and learn to live in a western way then there is not much we can do for them other than support a secular dictator who will at least keep the peace between religions.
I would stay out of their conflict and let the Russians and Syrians battle it out with the Rebels. Once we stop funding the rebels they would die quickly and just maybe we would cut off resources to Isis since they are getting them via the Syrian "rebels"

Western way??? Why should dictators and oligarchs some 6,000+ miles away with very different cultures live in a "western way"? How are you going to make them?
What of the civilians, the ordinary people living under their rule? What of those who want democracy, free elections, plurality, multiculturalism who are trying to have a voice in the whole mess?
There is a lot more than some rebels going on over there.
It's local politics, religious conflicts, regional power and influence, global resources, nuclear trade and weapons, currency manipulation and theft................
and you though it was just a few rebels?
1. It's the UN and we have seen how they can be on these matters. But let's go with your concerns here .... I don't think anyone has stated that Assad is free and clear of shenanigans. He obviously has done a lot of bad things ...
But might I remind you of a few things ...
1. He is a secular leader.
2. We have seen what happens in the Middle East when we overthrow secular dictators and let them "elect" leaders .... They always choose terrorists or descendants of the Third Reich.
3. And do we really want to be Saudi Arabia's enforcer just so they can force a pipeline through Syria? Is all the deaths at the hands of lslamic leaders really worth Saudi Arabia's pipeline to save their economy?
Sorry but nothing has shown me that overthrowing a secular dictator in the Middle East is a positive move. These people can't be trusted to vote because they always choose the crazy people and once the crazies get in they slaughter Christians and rape their children.

So you were ok with the slaughter of Christians in Egypt when they had elections?
These people aren't ready to choose for themselves. They are too violent and unless they have someone with a boot on their throat they will resort to violence. Which is exactly why they shouldn't be allowed to invade Europe and the west. They aren't capable of living without violence.
Iran used to be a good place as well when they had a secular leader. Once we allowed them to get an Islamic leader they became a terrible place for violence and oppression.
Now we have given them a path to nukes.
putting lipstick on a pig won't make it a western lady (what ever you view that to be)
Can't hid what is happening in the middle east by putting western clothing on them.

western facade on a country that was not western

Never
I've been outspoken about many things in the region.
What happened to coptics after Morsi elections began long before. Christians and churches have made easy targets for a long time. Go back to the '20.
Maybe we can make peace
