This is why we need to tax the wealthy

Thank you for the link but it didn’t prove your point, it supported it kind of but not fully, but it works.
You're full of it. Anyone can google "US marginal tax rate vs effective tax 1950s" or add 1980s, 1990s..etc, and there will be thousands of references pointing out that no one ever pays the full marginal tax rate, but much less.

But you are wrong based on the facts.

Figures that you would want to rates to be higher only for incomes that don't affect you. That is a typical Democrat's mantra. Rules for thee but not for me.
I already told you that based on my perspective on economics, I don't see why we need to raise the tax from where it is now. I even believe the highest tax bracket today should be moved to incomes over a million dollars, not six figures.

Flaming liberal please, enough with your dishonest spin. Who pays the ACTUAL MF'ing taxes? The top 10% (the rich) pay 71% of the MF'ing taxes. The bottom 50% pay only 3% that's pretty much nothing.
That's federal income tax again lol... It's a flat tax system, they earn about 71% of the income then duhhh. Worst inequality ever anywhere...great job!!

The EFFECTIVE tax rate of millionaires is around 25%.

That wasn’t what your claim was, go back and look, I am going strictly by the words you posted, I know what they rates were, try again and you might want to sharpen your comprehension skills. Have a good night

He is saying that the 1% pay 71% of all taxes, it has nothing to do with their effective tax rate. The bottom 50% of income producers is 3% of the US taxes, it is what it is.

The usual rw çlaptrap....WORST INEQUALITY EVER ANYWHERE.

OK all, we need to tax the wealthy, lets get on board! Who are the wealthy? It is a matter of perspective; and it really is.

Look at it from an illegal immigrants point of view---------------.All of these people have been living in the land of milk and honey, and the government is willing to pay our way.

How many of us think that illegals differentiate? I betcha that they could care less if Bille Baloneys taxes go up by 1000 bucks a year, or that wealthy peoples taxes go up by 5000 bucks a year, as long as the illegals are taken care of.

WHAT Billie says, I get a refund every year, over what I ever paid in! Welcome to the new reality my friend. You want it, you pay for it, wokeness aside-) Look at the governments balance sheet. You explain where the money comes from, and tell Eric Adams while you are at it.

The only gratification I may get if we lose, is YOU and your FRIENDS are going to pay too! It is going to hurt you, far more that me-)

You know it’s interesting to me that so many conservatives malign this bottom 50% when it’s obvious so many of them are in the bottom 50%. I really wonder if they don’t even realize it. Of course it’s worth noting that they pay payroll, local, and state taxes. State taxes alone account for 11%.

You are a brainwashed functional moron who only can think of federal income tax 😆😆😆 If you count all taxes, it's a flat tax,

The case you are attempting to make gets worse if you count all taxes. Wealthy people tend to have higher valued properties, therefore they pay higher property taxes. The only real exception to this rule is capital gains taxes which poor people don't typically pay anyway.

If you consider taxes socialist in nature. I consider them paying for what you have used.

So I "use" more than they guy next door? I pay more in property taxes and am in a higher tax bracket. How does that work exactly? Are you advocating for a consumption tax and eliminating all other taxes? If so, I'm listening.

Without being too specific, my family is well inside the top classes, therefore I am very much aware of just how much tax the "rich" pay.

I have no idea.

I already noted, I care less how we do it but we have to address our debt.

Where the hell did I malign anyone? Can anyone of you have an adult conversation and make stupid broad sweeping statements? I didn’t insult anyone, I provided some clarity because you were confusing effective tax rates what the 1% pay. Didnt know you were so sensitive.

I posted the actual numbers on the average federal income taxes paid by percentage by income bracket. Did you not see it? You are wrong.
