That's because that pos car is popular in Mexico & not the states.Guys, in 2012 I bought a Ford Fiesta. It was made in Mexico. This is not news.
Ford is now talking about moving all production of all small cars out of the country & that is news
It's actually a great car and was ranked number 1 by US News and World Report amongst subcompact cars in 2012 when I bought it. Every review shows it as the most fun to drive of any subcompact. And now they have the Fiesta ST, 200hp 150mph subcompact that performs like a rally car because that's how it was born. Unfortunately, the automatic tranny gave the car a bad name. The standard tranny version of the car is one of the most reliable cars on the road today. One guy got 750,000 miles out of his Fiesta with photographic proof of the odometer over time. I wouldn't call that a POS if I were you. The last I heard his wife was driving it now with over 800,000.
I got the manual and have had my car almost 5 years and had no issues with it whatsoever. And it gets about 41-44mpg. And its not a hybrid.
It's also ranked 3rd by car and driver magazine.
