2 problems with the story.

1. It says very specifically that he was not jailed for not paying a medical bill. It says he was jailed for not showing up in court. As someone who was given a court summons myself... it's not optional. It doesn't matter if you are going for a $20 parking ticket... when they say you show up in court.... you show up in court. Or they issue a warrant for your arrest, and you go to jail for a $20 parking ticket.

2. This family would be in debt, no matter what. You have a son with leukemia, and a wife with Lyme disease. There are charities for this. And this is where a church would help.

So my question now is, why have they not applied for support?

Actually, the guy didn't go to jail because of unpaid medical bills, he went to jail for missing two consecutive court appearances and the judge cited him for contempt of court. This is almost as bad as the lies Obama and his Obamabots told to impose the Obamacare debacle on the American people.

It's not accurate. The thread title is misleading. Tres Biggs was not not jailed for failure to pay her medical bills. She were jailed for failure to appear in court. The following excerpts are from the OP's link:
