24 years x 11 weekends and 2 weeks in the summer - (36 days a year x 24 years = 864 days.
Plus 8 weeks of training and 8 weeks of AIT at Fort Sill - 112 days.
Plus all the NCO development corps training, additional training days because he was a senior NCO, and having to take a second MOS to make E-7.... Easily hundreds more days.
