Moron ... Trump had porn stars paid off during his campaign for president to remain silent about affairs with him. Those payments were in excess of the allowed $2700; thereby constituting illegal campaign contributions. Cohen went to jail for that (among other crimes) and Pecker cut a deal with feds to avoid prosecution.

Means Trump's actions were illegal.

Clinton's settlement with Jones came after he was no longer eligible to run for president again and while he was not campaigning for any office. So there was no possibility for it to be construed as an illegal campaign contribution.
