Secrets of the Federal Budget Revealed

In February 2018, President Trump released his budget proposal for fiscal year 2019. Under his proposal, the federal budget would be $4.407 trillion. The U.S. government estimates it will receive $3.422 trillion in revenue, creating a $985 billion deficit for October 1, 2018, through September 30, 2019.

We finally agree on something, except you need to put up how you plan to address the Debt.
So how do you plan to fix it?

Dear kyzr and g5000 thank you for joining and posting.

Do you like the idea of using the Federal Reserve model
for assessing debts and damages accrued at taxpayer expense,
but instead of charging US for these wrongs crimes and corrupt abuses,
we hire legal teams to negotiate to settle the reimbursement plans
where the WRONGDOERS responsible pay the costs including
legal and administrative procedures THEY incurred by misconduct.

Why not enlist ALL parties to form teams and police/go after each
complaint of abuse and wrongdoing that cost taxpayers money?

If the wrongdoers cannot pay the consequences of their actions,
then we hold proportionate shares in property or programs as collateral
on these debts, and allow taxpayers or investors to buy out or lend
capital against the debts where they hold the shares until the debts are settled.

So at least taxpayers get CREDIT for whatever we agree to pay for.
And if not, it's up to govt to assess those costs and where they came from,
and who agrees to pay or lend on what terms. Wouldn't that correct,
prevent and deter abuses if the wrongdoers are held to pay the costs,
not pass the buck to taxpayers with no representation in these deals?

1. Ban the $1.4 trillion of annual tax expenditures. Tax expenditures are paid for by higher tax rates and heavy borrowing from countries like China. Banning tax expenditures would not only balance the budget, it would provide a surplus we could use to pay down the debt and lower tax rates for everyone. Then when the debt was paid off, we could lower tax rates for everyone even more.

2. Raise the Social Security and Medicare eligibility age to 70, and index to 9 percent of the population going forward. We are living longer, we should be working longer.

Easy peasy, man! We just need politicians with some spine.

But our politicians do EXACTLY what we demand of them. "Gimme, gimme, gimme and make that guy over there pay for it."

We get the politicians we deserve.

g5000 to prevent any one party from dictating beliefs and establishing this through govt for other parties of other beliefs,
why not just require the Democrat/Socialists to pay for their own member policies under terms THEY agree to support and be under? And the same for Republicans, Libertarians, etc.

Similar to letting Catholics or Mormons have their own social systems and programs to support their own members through their churches.
Why not treat Parties as political religions where members can run and fund their own schools and social benefits as they believe in too?

Why even try to dictate or micromanage that through Govt.
If we AGREE on benefits or funding, sure we can run that through State or Federal Govt.
But only on areas we AGREE on, otherwise why not delegate that to separate
groups who can manage their own terms of membership benefits by district, state or national
levels without interfering with any other groups with equal rights to govern their own plans?

If you were President of the United States, what are the first 5 problems you would look to address and why?

As for me...

First I’d address energy and move from fossil to green/reneable, as it contributes to problems with ecology, polution, economy, politics and national security.

I’m with Mr. Lamb on the energy question. I’d propose far different remedies though.

We’ve had nuke power on Navy vessels for what, 60+ years now. The safety record is something I would describe as outstanding if not almost as close to perfect as possible….
There is zero reason to continue to pretend that safety of nuclear power is a reason it shouldn’t be used. It’s cleaner than fossil fuels and more practical than the renewable alternatives.
I agree nuclear energy is pretty safe but I liken it to bear traps someone puts out in the woods. Its all good while everything is functioning and the owner is still alive but when or if society breaks down those nuclear sites are going to be forgotten and kill off the people that are left.

That’s your concern?

  1. Restore constitutional government (which solves all of our problems)
  2. See #1
  3. See #2
  4. See #3
  5. See #4

If we actually restore constitutional government we...
  • Solve the national debt
  • Eliminate thousands of unconstitutional departments
  • Secure the border
  • Create a robust and dynamic economy freed from the chains of government
  • Drastically improve the quality of life for citizens
  • Increase liberty

Thats my only concern with nuclear power. An interruption of society and or knowledge being lost would spell the end of humanity trying to recover.

For whatever reason, I cannot access my posting history but I’m with you on the safeguards. Safeguard #1 would be to find whatever protocols the USN has in place with their reactors and do two things:

Copy them to the letter
Double them

In fact, I would suggest that when we give federal permits to build a nuke plant, we tell whomever is going to manage it, they will need to provide housing for the US Navy personnel to run it because they won’t be having their bean counters and “managers” making decisions based on profit. Safety will be the only concern. The Navy has proven time and again that they are incredibly good at running these things.

1 - End the Federal Reserve and its collection wing, the IRS and get rid of the 16th Amendment. All three of which were created in 1913. Ahem.
2 - Bring the troops home and build more bases here, that's real defense spending.
3 - Abolish the departments of Energy, Housing and Urban Development, Commerce, Interior and Education, Department of Homeland Security, TSA, FBI, CIA, and few more on the tip of my tongue.
4 - Overturn the Patriot Act
5 - End Social Security, Medicare and all that. Actually, I'm okay with medicare and other welfare at the state level, just get the feds out of it.

I could likely keep going, though. Gallows or stocks in the town square may enter the equation at some point, but since we're only talking five things here, I digress.

Second political concerns such as returning to more free and fair elections, ending gerrymandering and voter suppression, as well as ending Citizens United and getting ALL big money out of politics by requiring broadcast media to hold equal time for all candidates free of charge and a set number of literal debates on issues by candidates (not the crap they serve up as debates today), as they affect everything on every level and have become unrepresentative of what most Americans want and need.

Third, Pentagon spending and the hundreds of billion lost annually, along with many billions moore in fraud waste and abuse, end the more than 800 overseas bases, opting for stronger bases here in the US and a select few in other nations, ending enelss warfare we’ve been in nonstop since the beginning of WWI, at least and use that money for infrastructure and other items at home.

Fourth, I’d use some of the Pentagon savings to move us to nationalized healthcare, which would cost us at least ten billion less over ten years than we currently spend and cover every person in our nation, which means we’d get more than 30 million more people covered and still save that much, making the nation healthier, less loss of prodcutivity and more.

Fifth, I’d work to end prohibition of drugs, which is another winless, endless war coosting us trillions over the years with no end in sight. Treatment has long been shown to be a better option and our laws have ruined more lives than the drugs have.

Then we could have a better nation, less incarceration, less court and law enforcement costs, etc. which could help us pay for the infrastructure and healthcare, as well.

If I could add a sixth item, it would be a sales tax on every Wall Street purchase, just like on every other purchase and end personal income tax.

Seventh I’d end property tax after the initial sale, auto taxation after the initial sale, etc.

To expedite what you would defund, that's why
I'd delegate and separate these programs by party.
If only the parties that support such programs are left to fund them,
that is equal enforcement of laws, not any one group forcing one belief or another through govt,
but respecting free choice of citizens to fund as they believe. So no more fighting over this.
People remain free to fund the programs they want, so end of argument over that!

You wouldn't have to mandate ending any of this and run into fights.
You just work under the party or parties of your choice that agree to defund
and not pay taxes there. So anyone who still wants benefits or programs
by their terms, fine, go pay for it and micromanage it yourself. And it doesn't
affect you or other taxpayers any more than the Catholic church policies affect nonmembers.

You do understand that not all Parties believe in the Constitution
the same way as Constitutionalists. And in order to stay TRUE to the
First and Fourteenth Amendments, we'd have to allow the free choice
and free exercise of religion belief and creed to all parties and not
exclude them just because their interpretations of govt limits aren't like ours.

You and I CHOOSE to believe in enforcing and living by Constitutional laws.
Similar to Christians who aren't forced by govt to adopt embrace and embody the laws.

So in order to TEACH people the value and meaning and empowerment
that comes with knowledge and authority of law, this can't simply be
Mandated through govt
any more than forcing an Atheist to suddenly believe in Christianity
and how it works by "mandating through govt"
That's not how people come to respect, believe and invoke the meaning
and authority of law as Christians and Constitutionalists do by EDUCATED FREE CHOICE.

So in order to offer education and training in enforcing laws for self government,
that's why I broke down 5 key areas to DELEGATE to different Parties to take on.

This would allow TRAINING to develop those programs
so we CAN make the transition from having "federal govt"
mandate or micromanage all these areas
to LOCALIZED leadership and self-managed groups
taking this on through schools, nonprofits, business
and other charity and free enterprise structures democratically run.

That's how I would organize "restoration of Constitutional Govt"

How else could we take on all the areas in need of reform?
Except organize it through an educational outreach system
where Mentors and Student Interns can learn on the job
while teaching and training others in teams to Do the Work THEMSELVES
instead of relying on top down Govt forced on taxpayers without consent?

By the proposal to separate Domestic Affairs from Foreign and Global policy,
the same people and parties choosing to fund Domestic reforms of health care
and converting prisons into teaching hospitals would not be in charge of national
security and military policy delegated to Republicans and Conservatives who
agree to fund that and not be required to support socialistic party run health care.

There is no conflict with church programs such as Catholics running prolife
programs while people running military actions make decisions through executive govt.

So why not reorganize the Democratic Socialist health care coops as
local, statewide and national nonprofit organizations do. That does not
compete for funding with military that is run through the govt.

We can have both, and quit fighting to force taxpayers to fund one instead of the other.
Just give taxpayers a choice of funding or serving in either military or medical service.

If there is a shortfall in the budget, the groups are free to borrow and lend to the
other if they approve each other's business plans for paying back any advance credit
until the cause of the shortage is resolved. So all this is funded voluntarily by consent
of the taxpayers, so there is no taxation without representation. If a program isn't
working, people aren't forced to fund it. So free market will ensure the best
solutions earn funding while any corrupt abusive waste of funds will lose support.

as for "gop being against"
health care and education
the Conservatives who respect Limited govt
are mainly against forcing funding through FEDERAL Govt
instead of education/health care managed locally by People and States
to represent and serve more effectively.

There's a HUGE difference between being
"opposed to education and health care for all"
and being
"opposed to Federal Govt mandating these things for all people across all States"

That's like blaming you for not wanting
health care and education
"managed through the Catholic Church that is prolife and pro God"

Just because YOU don't believe in the Catholic Church
CONTROLLING education and health care
so you DON'T BELIEVE in funding their
"education and health care" programs
nor forcing anyone else to by forced taxation,
doesn't mean you "oppose education and health care"

Do you see the difference?
