Traffic Cameras Rife With Bogus Violations, Audit Shows

An evaluation in 2012 by consultant URS Corp. of the camera system run by Xerox State and Local Solutions found an error rate of more than 10 percent, a figure 40-times higher than initial claims, The Sun reported.

Some individual cameras were off by as much as 50 percent.

Traffic camera fines have been getting tossed out of court when challenged since they violate due process if a law enforcement officer doesn't first review the footage to confirm the crime.

Mythbusters tested many such techniques and gadgets - none worked. :)
 
So why haven't i ever been caught by one of these "bogus" cameras.?

Speed cameras are very accurate and save lives. We need more of them.

That's very rare. Fact is most speeding crimes are not crimes. Neither a misdemeanor nor a felony. They are classed as infractions, like a parking ticket, and due process is not required.
