Treat Employees With Respect.......You Win!

This innovative approach to restaurant staffing serves as an example of how treating people with respect and making sure they share in the success of the business pays off.

How Pittsburgh s Bar Marco tripled profits from a no-tipping policy - Fortune

There is no reason why we shouldn't view hospitality / food service workers as valuable contributors to our economy.

And it didn't take the government to force them to do it...........and as more people who start businesses see success in a business model they will start to do it...without government mandates that would screw it up anyway.......capitalism wins again.....

This simply shows that with google and other companies they are evolving because of captialism....they are following the essence of capitalism...pleasing the customer....and they are succeeding because of it...make the customer happy, and you make money...which only works in capitalism......no government intervention was required for these business owners....what needs to be done is to advertise these models of bussiness so others try to duplicate the success....then good employees will go and work their...bringing the best workers to the best places to work...and everyone will make money...and the customers will get better service....

That is how capitalism...the free exchange of goods and services works.........good for them...I hope they are successful.......and I hope the government doesn't come in and wreck it......

Weeeeeee! Nutters can't stand it when they lose their talking points. Food service workers are......clearly worth more than "conservatives" have been arguing.

Government regulations did not stifle this business. Odd huh? Every other fucking business in Pittsburgh has the same regulations. So....if they fail...it MUST NOT be due to over-regulation. Right?

This is a very liberal approach to capitalism. It is innovative, progressive and it seems to be working.

Lose their talking points.......this guy is paying his employees what he thinks he can pay them and still make a profit...moron.....no one is ever against that....what is always pointed out is that the government has no place in that decision.......mandating the minimum wage is stupid....and unnecessary......and this guy is doing his own thing....notice moron...the government isn't mandating the salary....he made the decision on how to run the business......that is capitalism at work...you morons would have politicians tell him how to run his business.....of course you can't see the difference, you are a lefty.....and if he succeeds at what he is trying good...and if he fails, then someone else will step in....keep the government out of it...moron....

Look at you! Pretending that all business owners will voluntarily raise wages for their low income workers simply because nobody told them to.

It's admirable that you have ventured outside of your primary issue of interest...but you aren't any more knowledgeable about unbridled capitalism than you are about unrestricted 2A policy.

This guy is a community organizer. His staff is diverse. He doesn't think his business is a success UNLESS HIS EMPLOYEES GET THEIR SHARE. That's not capitalism at work, dummy. That liberal thinking at work.

Moron...it is exactly capitalism at work.....it doesn't matter if he is actually Santa Klaus.....it is his business, he can run it the way he wants....and if he can make customers happy he will make money...if his policies toward his employees make that easier he will make more money......and the government didn't make him do it....did they.....

Capitalism is working here....be happy.....

I have an idea! Why don't you go find a thread started by someone you are jealous of....whose premise you agree with.....and then post in such a way as to create disagreement. Then.....repeat your stupid comment of and over again hoping to be declared the winner of the internet.

Dummy.....the thread is a positive thread about a liberal business owner who takes care of his employees and....as a direct result....succeeds.

Why haven't other restaurant owners followed his lead? It's a proven success. Got any ideas?

I know...you have all of your ideas about capitalism from marxist lefties who taught you that if the employer isn't chaining his workers to their work equipment and whipping them every 5 minutes it isn't capitalism.....

Capitalism is the free exchange of goods and services....this guy is practicing that...at the core of capitalism is the fact...you have to make your customers happy to make money....if they are happy they will continue to use your business....and as a capitalist you want hard working, loyal, smart workers because they are the kind that will keep your customers happy...

How do you get hard working, smart, loyal workers....you make them happy...with a good work environment, good pay and benefits. Then they will treat your customers well and try to help your business succeed........

Does everyone in business know this...no....because industrial society, as long as it has been around hasn't been around that long......they are still learning how to do it, cleanly and efficiently...and whenever you have people involved it takes a long time to change the way they think. We are at a point where capitalism is changing the nature of businesses....Google has learned this, this guy has learned this and as they succeed others will follow their example...why.....because they want to make money...to spend on either themselves or to save the whales....

Even that racist basketball team owner from last year...he was a racist who didn't like blacks....but.....he hired them because he wanted the best players and he paid them really well why....because he liked them? No....because they made him a lot of money.....did they know he was a racist? Of course they did...did they work for him freely? Yes...because he made them money.....

Capitalism fixes things like racism and treating workers badly...why....because when you do either one you hurt your business..you make less money....

Happy employees work harder, are more loyal and serve the customers better.....it is a lesson that has to keep being learned because we are not animals...we don't just "know" how to do what we need to do to survive......and when you have moron leftists thinking that a bureaucrat who has never run a bussiness can tell a guy actually doing it the best way to do it....it slows down growth and change........

LoneLaugher is a moron.

Heres the truth. Good workers are harder to find these days than ever. Especially young ones. Most are spoiled entitled brats with no work ethic...but 7 fucking college degrees...not 1 in a useful skill. The uneducated ones are lazy and often unreliable to even show up. The most dependable and hard working...often illegal immigrants.

So....employers are fighting for the few good ones. Often...that means higher pay.

The good ones.

The rest? No way. This is an isolated incident. Like Costco.

Unless you're a conservative ideologue who believes that those who work for someone don't deserve to be treated as equals, and should instead be treated with contempt because their livelihood is dependent upon others.

So now his competition will either pay more...or...try to take customers away...and thus drain his profits which he uses for payroll.

Whoever has the better valued product will win.

See? Capitalism. The competition can CHOOSE his route...or...try to offer the same products at lower prices to steal his customers.

Ya big dummy. He chose his route. Under the current REGIME with all of its BUSINESS STIFLING, JOB KILLING REGULATIONS!!

Capitalism is awesome.....as long as it is regulated....and as long as those regulations protect consumers and workers. See?
