A man who claimed to be friends with this neighbor said she did not report the packages and the behavior to authorities because she “didn’t want to do any kind of racial profiling.”
In Trump’s America, however, that woman would face serious consequences. “We need to make sure every single person involved in this plan, including anyone who knew something, but didn’t tell us, is brought to justice,” Trump said in New Hampshire. “These people need to have consequences, big consequences.”

And you are full of shit.People who have observed neighbors or acquaintences acting suspiciously should have no consequences for not turning them in. If I saw my neighbor building pipe bombs and casing the local elementary school I know I wouldn't say anything. I know you guys would all be behind me.
That's not where the problem is though. The problems are for those who do say something. They are the ones who face civil and sometimes criminal penalties. Those are the ones committing hate crimes, profiling, getting sued. Those are the ones Trump may mean to protect.

You know, I know less than half of my neighbors that live beside and across from me. And even those I know, I do not know their politics, or whether they have guns or not. Now suppose one of those neighbors commits an atrocity. So, does the law have the right to hold me responsible for that neighbor? That is what Trump is saying with his rhetoric.
